We call this sorrel in Trinidad 🇹🇹. We typically drink it around Christmas time. We add sugar, cinnamon, ginger to the mixture . Some people add a little alcohol too . Over the years I’ve just been adding a little less sugar. It’s not Christmas if you’re not having sorrel!! 😅

When my mom was diagnosed with High blood pressure I actually gifted her hibiscus tea. It's nice to see how it's considered the healthiest tea by someone as knowledgeable as you.

I am successfully growing sorrel in my garden this year. The plants are absolutely beautiful, the leaves are lemony and the tea is wonderful.

I have an Edible Hibicus Tree -- I brew my own tea, and throw in some leaves from my Moringa Tree

I use my french press for tea making. I change my hibiscus flowers out every couple of days. I also add fresh ginger and turmeric, spices and herbs depending on how I feel.

We have a rosebush. My son thought the petals were hibiscus & he made a tea. I know it was not hibiscus, but it was still delicious. I was sick & he said it would help me get better. No harm done. 😌

As a Nigerian 🇳🇬we call this zobo. Like everybody drinks this, comes from the North but it's popular everywhere. We boil the zobo 'hibiscus' leaves with fruits and add some sugar and voila, like the most popular drink in Nigeria. you're welcome.

It is understood that it is better to make hibiscus tea with cold water. Just leave the flowers soaking for a few hours and you will get same red drink as when made with hot water. The drink made with cold water is more potent for the purpose. Hit liquid might deactivate some of the potent constituents
