I think Chinese lang is so high because a lot of students who choose to take it already speak Chinese at home

I feel like no one is taking ap art without being good at it. That’s my reasoning for why it’s so high.

These all have high pass rates because most of these are year-long classes that specifically prepare you for their test. Research, seminar, drawing, and 2-D you work the entire year to send in your work. So if you do the work during the year, you’re fine. Seminar has an end of the year test but you develop the skills passively over the year. Chinese Lang probably has a high pass rate as most of the students taking it are really dedicated or are already native speakers :))

Literally none of those AP classes were offered at my high school. I took I think 7 or 8 AP classes in the 5 semesters I spent in HS and I passed them all with 5s except APUSH I got a 4. I have some useless award for it and didn’t have to take any History or English in college but idk If it mattered given the situation I’m in today almost 10 years later

As someone who took Chinese Lang and DEFINITELY failed, don’t feel too bad if you do too there are a lot of native speakers that take the exam and skew the results.
Also if you’re planning on taking it and you’re NOT a native speaker then don’t worry too much. if you can understand Chinese a bit (my downfall), understand enough writing to get basic context clues and can hold a basic ish conversation (the thing that put me in the grave). The graders for the test are actually pretty lenient, I know this because even though the only word I was able to understand and remember in the whole listening portion was “黑色” and I was so nervous that I stuttered through the whole speaking section I still got a 2 instead of a 1 lol

I think these are so high because they are all personal classes unlike a calculus class and the people doing them have a specific skill used in that class

On my ApHuGeo I got a 3, AP World History got a 4, and AP Euro I got a 5, despite not doing a whole SAQ question 😅

Our school didn't have AP courses 🤷‍♀️
I got into WashU so and there is a bit of a learning curve in science and math courses, but honestly, they are non-essential. Just take the highest level courses your school offers and you should be fine relative to college admissions. (Also, not sure how much this affects things BUT if you don't have any advanced courses on your transcript SUBMIT YOUR SAT/ACT SCORES, this will help the college know that you will at least be capable of learning at their pace. My ACT was a 32 and while that was on the low end of the percentile for WashU, it still got me in! So just be thinking of that too.)

i took ap seminar and im currently taking ap research. i got a 5 on seminar bc you literally are able to do most of the exam at school during the year. it also depends on your teacher but i have loved the Capstone program so if you're considering it, definitely do it
