If physics 1 has the highest fail rate, I can’t even imagine the horrors of the sequel: physics 2

There was a 70% fail rate during the pandemic for my schools Ap computer science test due to an error preventing people from submitting their projects. College board being the greedy bastards they are didn’t do anything about it.

Makes sense. Alot of students probably flunked out on free response. AP Gov and APUSH also got some crazy af questions too but maybe it's changed. Last time I took it was 5 years ago :(. Hot rip tho

By "did the math" he means he looked at the pass rate list on collegeboard

I’d just like to point out that this doesn’t necessary make these classes the most difficult. Often it’s just that these classes tend to be taken by people that aren’t prepared. That’s why calc AB has a higher fail rate than BC - you have to be a special kind of crazy to take BC.

I feel like it could just be because my APUSH teacher is legit a goddess at teaching, but almost everyone in her classes passed

Studying for a APUSH is crazy. It is all about memory and reasoning, but to a ridiculous extent because of the "best answer" as opposed to a right answer and the SAQ's and DBQ's being possibly nothing that you have covered. Either way I still got a 5, but goddamn.

Idk why people don't like physics as much. It is one of the best build up

I’m surprised AP Chemistry wasn’t on here lol. My year it was the highest failing ap test. Even my class only had 2 people pass it. One person was someone who took the class before and the other was a foreign exchange student who already knew the material lol

I took apush and apgov, tough tests, but not too horrible. I feel like the free response was what tripped people up

Is ap literature like answering questions about books or is it answering questions based off a passage?

I took both AP Gov and AP Music Theory. Gov was the hardest one by far for me. Got a 3 while for music theory I scored a 4.

i’m honestly surprised by ap gov. i remember it being relatively easy, like it had a lot of overlap with the general constitution/ early american history stuff we learned basically every single year. but maybe that’s a virginia thing, we have a weird amount of “state history” stuff based on a constitution that was not completed anywhere near here

I took ap environmental science my sophomore year and don’t let the fail rate scare you. I literally didn’t study or pay attention during the class at all. The only thing I did was start studying three days before the exam and I got a 4. The only studying I did too was watching the review videos that college board posted. It’s honestly so easy and I have no clue how so many people did poorly.

Me talking AP Gov right now:
“Well this is a little unfortunate”

Edit:
OK UPDATE. So I finished the course; it was only a semester long. I still have to take the AP exam, and I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. Honestly I really enjoyed the course halfway through it, it’s just that the fundamentals, like court cases, amendments and all; I don’t think it was taught to clearly, but by the end of the semester, I understood it all. Way better than in the beginning of the year at least. So much so that I was even able to get a 100 on the final, which for me, I was pretty happy about. What sucks though, is that after all that, I averaged a final score of 89.36%. Literally off by only 0.16%. Even my teacher when he added the score in was like, that’s not good, that’s really not good.” Off by THAT much. Despite that, If you want to take the course, I’d highly recommend it. It really does explain a lot about the political system, and the amount of meta about the course is hilarious.

A lot of it honestly depends on the teacher. I got a 4 on APES but a 2 in Psych

I took 3 of those classes recently, APUSH is tough but most of it comes down to knowing how to answer the questions, AP Gov is pretty straightforward but you should put extra time into studying the Supreme Court cases, and AP Lit is just tough

s.o.k.
