I'm in APWH rn and haven't taken any other AP social studies, but to me it seems like AP World is a lot more about analyzing trends and studying documents instead of memorizing details (which I've heard is more like APUSH). So it isn't too surprising that an AI that has unlimited access to the internet can correctly answer a question that it can just google.
