Don't Sleep On The High Republic Adventures!

If you've been on the fence about reading The High Republic Adventures because you haven't been a fan of the Adventures line in the past, or you feel you're too old for them, today I'm going to tell you why I think it's great, and definitely my favorite Star Wars comic series IDW has put out!

I 100% agree with Alex! The Adventures line isn’t written for me, but I can’t get enough of this story! I’m loving how it makes the galaxy bigger

The High Republic was something I was really hesitant about but I've been pleasantly suprised by it

I'm so glad I decided to follow the "completionist" route on The High Republic. I knew next to nothing about the comics and didn't really know the Adventures series had such a more child-friendly art style because High Republic Adventures was really well done and if you told me it was made for kids, I really couldn't tell because I enjoyed it all the same. Usually you can tell when stories pull their punches or try to make things land a little softer

I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I think I preferred the other High Republic comic line because the stakes felt higher but the Adventures comic line was a surprisingly personal story between two friends and their new friends

I'm reading all the books and the comics and I have to say I'm a fan of Marchion Ro. At first I thought he was a wimpy villain, but he is very deceptive

This has been one of the best Star Wars comics I have read. These characters feel so rich and developed. I find it interesting how Zeen is considered too old to be trained as a Jedi so she isn’t made a Padawan but still part of the team. She’s like an alternate version of Anakin. I love the art in this. Environments and characters are visually appealing with both their colors and their details. And I love how Marchion Ro is a pivotal part of this series. He seems to know Yoda already which might be a major story thread in the future.

I read everything and have read this comic. Haven’t started the rising storm yet, I’m about to, cool to hear this connects to rising storm. Hopefully in what marchion ro is looking for.

There is already so much High Republic content been youth and adult, novels and comics.
If it has to be narrowed down to one or two mediums/series, what do you recommend? What will bring us into understanding that world best for when inevitably, the movies come out in 20 years...

From what I've read of it I love it! But due to some licensing issues I can't get the singles very easily in Aus. So going forward it's gonna be tricky trying to keep up

Forever bummed that IDW's license only reaches the USA. I can't buy these comics in Germany. Not even on comixology. It breaks my heart.

I haven't read the High Republic Adventures comics but after starting Race to Crashpoint Tower, I kind of want to now.
