I made it a little over 4 days on blow before I started having intense auditory hallucinations and forced myself to sleep. The cat started talking to me in perfect English and I knew that was the limit.

Even fully awake, I wouldn’t be able to count down by 7 from 100

One thing I understood from this video is that Randy's basket ball skills are terrific.

My personal best was a little over 72 hours when I was 15 years old. I would hear things and had mild hallucinations and couldn't hold a conversation well. I can't imagine what 11 days would actually feel like.

I used to pull all-nighters all the time. Now, I can't even pull all-dayers. Just don't, kids. Just don't.

During my 3 homeless years, I once went a full 7 days without sleep. Worst feeling in the world. So glad I now have a place to stay and SLEEP.

I had a sleep study done on me at Emory University. It was torture… the study was to find out how long it takes for someone who is epileptic to have a seizure because of insomnia. I was awake for 9 days 13 hours and don’t remember minutes. It was agony….

I blow glass for a living and just recently upgraded my shop. It took me three days and I worked on it 24 hours a day. Only stoped to eat and use the bathroom. I was really delusional but other wise okay. But the next day I woke up I had a crippling migraine. The pain was so intense I couldn't move at all. That was a few weeks ago and I'm still feeling side effects.

I have been awake for longer than anyone I know...by many days. I was up for 9 days, 8 nights trying to fall asleep. After waking from a week long medically induced coma, the hospital took me off all my meds (including opiates for back pain) and was unable to sleep due to pain. The worst part wasn't the withdrawal from many medications...it was the boredom...no tv in my room and was not allowed to have my phone. I would love to tell more of the story if you want an interview or something. The 9th night I finally was able to sleep because they put me back on pain meds and gave me a sleeping pill.

I used to work double shifts and sometimes on the drive home I would see tall shadow people walking across the highway, some would be patiently waiting to cross, all at 3am. Sometimes I would hear fire alarms in a building when there were no alarms going off. I would see my manager walk into one room and walk out of another room straight away when the rooms aren't connected.

I have severe insomnia, and my record number of days without sleep is 8. The hallucinations ranged from hearing a den of snakes under my bed, my husband’s face looking like a demon, and a photo of my son coming alive and dancing. I ended up in the hospital for 5 days. It was absolutely insane.

I remember in Afghanistan, at one point I had been awake for about 36 hours. Our truck radio mount was busted so I had the handheld with the antenna sticking out of the turret. I was so exhausted I kept having conversations with and handing the radio to people who weren’t in the truck. Only thing that kept me awake was the bang from constantly dropping the radio when handing it off.

The most I've gone without sleep 2 days and 4 hours back when I was younger. Certainly can't repeat that today in my age.

My 2nd cousin Tim Horton (now deceased) went through this all the time. He was a NASA engineer and a good one, who sadly contracted brain cancer in the mid-80s. Tim came through surgery to remove the tumor okay, but then incompetent nurses allowed a large air bubble to get into his IV line while he was recovering, resulting in severe brain damage. It basically destroyed his sleep cycles and his ability to get motivated. He would literally be awake for 2 weeks at a time, unable to sleep, and would only sleep after the sheer exhaustion caused him to collapse. It was pure torture and there was basically nothing that could be done for him.

At 16, junior year of high school I was at my peak of addiction with pills and I had very easy access to adderall at that point. I’d stay up 5 days at a time with only taking 30 minute power naps a day, usually ended up falling during school. 5am was the hardest hour to make. It was the worst time of my life but fell addicted to it, even the no sleep. Got everything done. Ruined my body and mental health. I’m 21 and still struggle with it sometimes. This isn’t a hey feel pity for me comment, this is a Jesus Christ I can’t believe they made it 11 days without adderall comment.

I once deprived myself of sleep for almost a week by staying up to play video games. Eventually I was so sleepy, that while in class, I swear the professor looked like he was melting into the ground

The longest I’ve ever went without sleep was 108 hours. My parents and sister were at the beach while I stayed home so I could work. Great week, even if I never got any sleep
