This is exactly 💯 what I needed to hear. I fell off the healthy plan for 2 days. Time for me to choose health again

I’m posting simply for accountability. I’ll be 64 in July and was approved for bariatric surgery last Thursday, the Rouen Y. Yesterday I borrowed “Eat to Live” from the library and am starting the six week program tomorrow. I’ve lost 114 lbs but need to lose another 80lbs or so. I want to be off all my medications and resolve my autoimmune diagnoses.

Especially loved the part about caring for others, and not trying to project superiority. Dr. Fuhrman is a gem on so many levels.

Absolutely 100% honest and true. I finaly had the courage to tell my surgeon that I thought I had a good addiction and didn’t k ow if that info would matter to his decision to do a life saving and altering surgery but he actually thanked me for being honest as well, he was even stunned a few seconds bc he said not many or usualy ppl don’t admit this. But I had just heard about u and I remeber u said eat to live not live to eat and that has stuck with me since. Thank you sooo much for being you.❤

This is the best video Dr Fuhrmann, filled with so many golden nuggets of truth, I am sure the rising levels of aggressive behaviour in people is related to the SAD diet and food addiction. I myself even stole in the throes of my addiction. I felt so ashamed when I was being controlled by my addiction and my life and work were severely affected for decades. A WFPB way of eating changed all that beyond my wildest hopes and 3 years in I am addiction-free and positive and grateful about life. It's the only thing that works.

Amazing presentation Dr. Fuhrman. I really enjoyed it so much. I'm learning so much for you. I will reread your books again. I've slipped off the wagon. Eating chocolate and sweets. I never thought of myself as an addict. But I am! Sugar addiction is definitely real. I will get back on track. Best of health to you!

Thank you!
20 years ago I tried your program and it works.
In 2004 I had brain surgery for Chiari malformation. I was still did the program.. about 2008-2010 I developed intracranial hypertension. Shortly after hypothyroidism then after that P.O.T.S. My life has spiraled out of control. I have gained all the weight back. Apparently eating foods with vitamin A cause CSF to increase. To much exercise causes problems. It seems that my body is my enemy. In addition, all this is quite depressing. I really need your advice but I know you probably are extremely busy. I want to start this again. It was the only thing that worked for me. Only wished you were my doctor.

I didn't realize how addicted I was to unhealthy restaurants foods. Once I started to eat whole fruits and vegetables, legumes, grains and cut out refined sugar, oil and salt, I wanted to continue to eat until I was overly full. It has taken about a month for me to calm my mind and body down.

It is my belief that we eat the way we eat because we were conditioned this way growing up. The pattern was set growing up in a home where eating healthy was not the norm. I dont think in most cases it had anything to do with self esteem I was given after school snacks, sweets, sodas, etc as a treat. My meals consisted of steak, seafood, pork, and every vegetable under the sun. It wasn't until I became ill that I realized the SAD was not a good choice for me. , But because the pattern was set, some things I eat are hard to just give up when I've had this habit of eating for years.

The former alcoholics I shared the room with during my 20 day hip rehab drank enough fruit juice that their livers where still fat and still had their beer bellies (interstitial fat).

To the senile they served syrup on pancake, brown sugar on oatmeal, high salt peanut butter with 10% hydrogenated oil and jam on bread, instant mashed potatoes and fruit juice sweetened with high fructose corn syrup.

Lucky they also had fresh fruit and salads (I ordered without the chicken).
