Today we’re going to talk about what could happen if you stopped eating fast food for one week. Cutting down carbs and sugar can have many benefits. But, there are other things in fast food that may be beneficial to eliminate from your diet.

Processed foods can be very low in nutrients. Foods void of nutrition can actually deplete your reserves of vitamins and minerals, which can lead to potential health issues. When you consume empty calories or refined foods, you also don’t get any phytonutrients. Now, you can have a situation where you don’t have any antioxidants and a lot of oxidation. Oxidation can create damage in the body, and phytonutrients do a lot to help protect your body.

There are also a lot of food additives in fast food, which can include:
• Preservatives 
• Colors 
• Things that enhance the texture 
• Sweeteners 
• Things that enhance the flavors (like MSG) 

What I think may happen if you cut out fast food for one week:
• Your hunger will go away
• Your cravings will go away
• Your fluid retention will improve 
• Your mind will be clear
• Your body will feel clean (no brain fog and more energy)
• You’ll lose fat

I’m exactly a week off of fast food, and you’re right with everything you said. I barley get hungry now. Yesterday I only had one meal in the afternoon. Haven’t felt hunger yet and it’s morning time.

My great grandmother lived till she was 97 and she never left the house to eat. Strongest lady I’ve ever known in my life. She lived in a log cabin and had a rotary telephone, and she lived very frugal. And she was happier than everyone.

I haven’t had fast food or alcohol in over 5 years. People think life is boring this way, but it’s quite the opposite! I’m almost 50 & I truly have more energy at this age than I did in my 20s eating fast food nearly every day. You know what it feels like the next morning after a few drinks or eating junk food the day before. Why not give yourself the benefit of the doubt & eat healthy everyday. After 40-50 days of clean eating (and incorporating ACV 2x per day) your taste buds will change for the better. Personally, I’d rather fast/starve for 3 days before eating junk food or having a sip of alcohol. I do miss my Doritos (use to eat nearly a bag a day) but that awful feeling after consuming them. Beets, kale, fatty fish, avocados, Brussels sprouts are my new Doritos.😊

Cook for yourself and even if you are bad at it like I am then you will enjoy it because you put the effort for yourself such as gathering the ingredients and preparing your meals opposed to having someone else do it for you

I haven’t ate fast food in a whole year! 😆 I don’t miss it either! It was making me sick and I learned that when the pandemic initially occurred and we stayed home. So by default I didn’t eat fast food for several weeks and when I went back to it became very sick, felt unwell with persistent inflammation for two weeks thereafter. I did this a few times and each time I ate fast food, I got the same sickening result. They’re feeding us garbage folks! We’re being poisoned by our fellow man in the name of greed! I pack a lunch now. I grow my own food, buy from local farmers and the rest is organic only. Be safe! Be well!

Dr. Berg, I thank you. After discovering your channel, I've lost a 1/3 of my body weight and went from a size 40 waist to 30 in just 14 months. I never deprived myself of food, I ate what you showed as the proper food groups to eat. I didn't go out and run regularly and I simply changed my diet and my life was transformed. I'm so mad at the so many so called health "professionals" out there that keeps pushing outdated materials about weight loss and health.

I changed my diet 2 years ago to no fast foods. I normally eat vegies and chicken breasts which taste ok. I still eat McD on very rare occasion. After eating it and its time for my next meal, I find its hard to go back to vegies and chicken. I crave more fast food. The vegies can't compete with the taste explosion of fast foods. The fast food are truly adductive.

I don’t eat fast food, I cook or prepare everything at home. My one sin is Cheetos. I feel guilty every time I eat them. Today, Monday, walking bridle trail, eating at noon and 6, drinking lots of water and no wine. Taking my vitamins. Thank you Dr. Berg.🙏🏼❤️

I get migraines from MSG. I heard a long time ago that MSG has 100 names. One of them is Natural Flavouring.

I was literally eating Doritos during the first half of watching this (which yeah I know, I knoww) and then he calls out Doritos specifically haah. And I confirm the msg in ingredients list as he’s talking, which I already knew was there. I know Doritos (and Cheetos) are addicting to me and I’ll find myself continuously eyeing and reaching into the bag for the ‘good’ ones. Y’all know what I’m talkin bout. I love everything Dr. Berg said in this video, including about his previous Doritos affairs. I’ll be trying out keto soon.

What I noticed every time I eat Chinese or Thai food I gain 1 or 2 kilos on the scale the next day. Now I understand why!
But nobody talks about it because of PC.
