if you ever bleed through your clothes put hydrogen peroxide on it, just pour it all

over the stain make sure it's fully covered

Let it sit for an hour and then wash it with specifically cold water If the stain doesn't come out do it again

Do not dry the clothes until the stain is gone The heat is what sets it in so that's why you can't use hot or warm water either

This has saved a lot of my clothes from being thrown away

I just came across another poster who also mentioned wearing two underwears.

This is such an *underrated method* to prevent period issues (especially movement induced leaks). I cannot recommend it enough. Wearing two undies will definitely make your period life more pleasant, less upsetting and miles more comfortable -- especially for heavy bleeding.

Suggestion:
If you can, then use a breathable and comfortable shapewear _over_ your underwear, it keeps your pad, (and/or tissue) placement in a *much more* consistent position. This is especially useful if you are bleeding heavily while travelling or working and cannot readjust the pad or go to a bathroom. It will still need regular changing (because of the quantity of blood soaking in the pad and the spreading out of the bleed), but it will be more manageable than one underwear alone.

Another suggestion:
Using the area _between_ the underwear layers (i.e. right outside the first one, going into the second one) at the front ( *not* under), you can store a thin regular folded pad, for emergencies. It is good for when you are at work (or public) and notice that you need an immediate pad change. You won't be stuck on a toilet asking someone to slide/ hand you a pad, or regret not planning it before hand. Just be conscious of it and do not forget to remove the pad before sitting down. A forgetful person might accidentally drop it in the toilet if not careful. That will suck, and you'll need to remove it to avoid plumbing problems.

Suggestion 2:
Wear black pants that stretch a bit, they generally absorb small leaks better than regular trouser fabrics. If that's not possible, the consider keeping a light weight black trouser in your bag or locker. Just. In. Case.

Suggestion 3: Do use unscented panty liners or even thick pieces of kitchen towels to fill a bit of the buffer space between your frontal area (near the top of your girl parts, and the back of your bum, so that you can account for movements and 'bleed travelling'). You'll need to figure how beat to place it based on how your leakes occur.

I do the same thing but with panty liners as to not use up all my pads. It’s also more comfier, less noticeable in clothes, and I think the pack I get has more than actual period pads. I get the carefree ones, it’s a pink packaging 👍🏼 so just incase anyone would like to try. And it’s different for everyone so it may not work for you but for me it catches any blood that gets in the back. And btw I move a lot and it still works 👍🏼💜
