INFJ Explained: What It Means to be the INFJ Personality Type

preview_player
Показать описание
The #INFJ is one of 16 Myers Briggs personality types. They are described as the “advocate” and “diplomatic counselor”. These terms hint at the humane and supportive nature of this type. At roughly 1% of the population, INFJs are also the least common MBTI type. INFJ people are introverts, but because of how sociable they can be, may sometimes get mistaken for an extrovert.

I swear every single day as an INFJ is filled with unstoppable guilt and suffering, which get combined with empathy and provoke the heaviest overthinking you've ever seen.

I am an INFJ advocate as well... I can really understand what all the people with the same personality type feel..

I am so lonely sometimes but still feel that its better than having a lot of people around me..

As an INFJ it is needed to develop extraverted thinking and practical qualities. It would be nice if you transform yourself into someone who is active in the world around you. It is okay to be a dreamer. It is great to be leader and a supporter of the people and the world around you. Thank you for time to read this message.

I feel like it’s only hard being an INFJ because not a lot of people are, so we feel alone a lot of the time. Anyone knows why it’s so rare?

I took this MBTI test twice and I always get the same result: INFJ-T!
Is this why sometimes I feel kinda weird like "I don't belong here" kinda weird?? But at the same time, being weird feels right to me. It's a little hard to fit in sometimes or to force myself to fit in society's ideal boxes. If I try or force myself to do it, I get anxiety and I always feel drained, exhausted then people mistake it for something else like a bad trait. Whenever I'm in a crowd of people, I easily get overwhelmed. I'd rather be with my dogs and just stare at nature or paintings because somehow it feels satisfying. Haha! Finding people who'd really and truly understand you would be a blessing to an INFJ.

Being an INFJ isn't easy. However, once you are able to put up boundaries and give yourself care, it is easier.
As a young INFJ, no one understood me. It led to me being bullied and shunned. I was so mentally far ahead of them. They couldn't keep up with me. As I've aged, people see me in a different light. My thinking out of the box ability has proved extremely helpful in many of life's difficult situations. Fellow INFJ's, don't be so hard on yourself. You aren't alone and you are chosen to be of invaluable service to others.

People that want to be a infj are not infj. It's hard understanding other people's feelings better than you understand your own

Bro when she said „psychic like abilities“ I felt that.

as an infj i hate to be too emphatic for everything more than anyone who is not infj (each poverty, nature, human rights). i try to advocate so many things, but i am not an extrovert who has good communication skills. so i always end up looking agressive rather than persuasive

As an INFJ, I don't want to be one. I retake my MBTI but it's still INFJ. Some people (claimed they're INFJ) felt special because it's the "rare type". But they don't know the struggle of being an INFJ.

I am 17 and my mental age is between 35-50...so i can understand that the advocate image being old is justified.

.

Edit :-
Answer to a query, person asked about credibility of that age grp analysis.
" this age assumption wasn't any "random Facebook poll"...it was done by google..
We all have got one, ...
In our accounts, its shown.
Google segregate its customers in age group columns ...for advertising purposes."

This is making a lot of sense! We INFJ are like sponges, we absorb everything and still look not soaked enough on the outside

Well as an Intj, i stopped caring what others think about me along time ago and focus more on my own self. It has done wonders for my health.

As an INFJ, I realized that being able to feel other's emotions in myself also means if they see me as a villain, than I will feel like I really am a villain.
Same outcome when I get treated like an outcast or burden.
I have dealt with lot of guilt and self-loathing.
I have tried to shut it off, but it just leads to more frustration.
Also, doesn't help that I get trapped inside my own head easily.
I hope as I get older (I'm 27) I find a way to balance all this.

As an INFJ I hope that someone just trade my mind with their own so I could feel a little comfortable at least for a day.

Is very tough to be an INFJ, I don’t stop deep thinking all day , I don’t like superficial talkings like about weather or peoples pets I run away from those conversations drain my energy, and always looking the world in 3D . 😜

It's really hard to express to people because they always think that I'm just being dramatic, emotional and sensitive. It's also hard to balance being rational and irrational. I get so lonely most of the times. I get to feel too much emotions from people around me. Pretty hard.
