As a company that holds data, people often ask if Patients Know Best is safe.

At Patients Know Best, as a social enterprise, we exist to help patients manage their own health by giving them access to health information from their GP, hospital or any other care provider they might use, anywhere anytime.

This is a great and important mission, but is Patients Know Best safe?

So from the start we’ve worked with the-leading data protection and security experts who helped us design Patients Know Best, so that only you, and the people you choose can access your records. Not even we can see your clinical data and we will never, ever share it or sell it to anyone.

To make things really easy, your record is divided into four parts and you choose which parts you want to share.

You might decide to give your personal doctor access to everything, but only offer a carer ‘general’ access so they can’t see your more sensitive mental or sexual health information.

Using Patients Know Best, means that wherever you go, whenever you need care, whoever is providing that care knows exactly as much as they need to know in order to do it safely.
