Anakin was kind of a dummy, but yes, in this case he was right, he was just wrong about the timing. In ep 3, I think that version of Anakin could potentially make Sidious sweat a little if Anakin didn't get too confident, but overall Palpatine would win. He would catch Anakin off guard with a force scream or a little lightning stream and maybe a force enhanced spin slash or maybe by alternating between 1 blade and dual wielding, then finish him off with a directed force blast or drain. For that matter he (Palpatine) could probably channel the force into lightning powerful enough (in my mind, it's blood red or at least red-orange colored lightning, blame infamous, idk) to disintegrate Anakin.

However, if Anakin hypothetically either sided with the Jedi and slaughtered all the troops at the temple, and maybe part of the order survived and he could continue to train under the likes of Obi-wan, Yoda, and Mace Windu; OR if he beat Obi Wan and didn't have to get suited up, and he took another 2-7 years to train his saber skills and force powers and he learned to use some more useful force abilities like drains, blasts, barriers, lightning, pyro stuff, yada yada (there are tons of combat-oriented or even combat-specific force abilities and he only really used like 4 as a Jedi), he could ragdoll Sidious, for that matter, at even just like 75% of his potential, he could probably force crush the whole damn death star with Palpatine on it, and if that didn't work, he could probably sit in his Vader Castle on Mustafar and call up an actual force storm to blast the death star that would probably explode the damn thing.

No. We know in canon that he cannot. Sidious wrecked him on two separate occasions soon after ROTS, and unlike Legends, Vader never lost any of his strength in the Force.
