I feel like anakins purpose is soo misunderstood anakin didn't fail when he became Vader he brought balance he brought the end to both the empire and Jedi and he needed Luke to do that Luke was made to help anakin accomplish his destiny not do it for him

To clear this up anakin did good for the Jedi fought as one of the best generals in the clone wars and killed dooku and as a sith he brought down the Jedi order and in the end the empire too he brought balance and the fall of the Jedi would be necessary for this the Jedi ended up as evil as the sith their fall was their own fault if the Jedi order did come back the cycle starts again if the age of the old republic came back then balance truly would return
