21:10 "God didn't choose the nice people".
And there you have it. All that matters to the creator of the universe, is how much we praise him. How low we bow. What we do beyond that? Couldn't care less. Well, he would prefer us to be nice, sure. But to him it is not really the dividing line of whom he saves, and whom he doesn't. "BOW TO ME, INFERIOR CREATURE, CAUSE I AM YOUR MAKER, AND I NEED... WORSHIP!!! I WANT THAT THING YOU CALL LOVE!!! EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NO IDEA HOW LOVE WORKS. Oh, love is not something you demand? That is not it?!?!?"

I'm trying to listen charitably, but each week of this series makes me more uncomfortable. It has notes of a freshman from Bethel's spirituality school. Driscoll's previous series for years haven't been like this. He'll usually get pet catch phrases, and that's fine, but whatever is different really isn't right for me. I really didn't like him praying to the Holy Spirit AND the spirit of Elijah.

I'm a sensitive person and can explain away almost anything, but each week there have been things making me spiritually uncomfortable, so I think I need to skip the rest of this series. Driscoll is my favorite, so I know I'll listen again before the series is over, but something isn't right for me.

I really loved the highlight of the fact that God answered prayer but not the question, though.

I'll just skip this series.
