Why Do We See So Few Miracles Today?

I was ejected 15-20 feet in a car collision when I was 3. The impact was so hard it knocked my shoes off. When they finally found where I landed, I was sitting up looking around as if nothing happened. The only damage I had was a tiny scratch on my nose. When I made it to the hospital doctor’s didn’t believe it after seeing the report of what happened but no damaged.That was the day my mother surrendered her life to the Lord. Miracles do happen, I’m a walking testament of them. God is good 🙌🏽

My mother wanted to have an abortion after 3 children and was sitting in an abortion clinic to abort me. When she heard a voice tell her that if she aborted this child He would take away the other three. She got scared and ran out of the clinic. That was 54 years ago. I was saved by God’s Grace and was the only one in my generation as the first Christ Follower as I watch The Spirit of The Living God move you save my family members and people around me. The enemy wanted me dead at conception but God saved me ! Praises to Our Father, The Lord Jesus Christ and His Blessed Holy Spirit Who without Him we would all die and go to Hell. If that is not billions of miracles of salvation than I don’t know what is!!!!

I am STUNNED that the miracle of regeneration has happened to me. I once heard "there is no greater miracle that will happen in your life than you being born again." "No man comes to me unless the father who sent me draws him." John 6:44 Amazing!

Miracles still happen, my dog had a tumor and i was suffering so much, i cried a lot, i pray to God, i had faith in God and the day of the surgery i was waiting outside, all of a sudden the vet came out and said to me come here i went with her and she said Who do you pray to ? i was confused after that she said the tumor dissapear the vet check my dog before starting the surgery and she realized that the tumor dissapear withouth chemotherapy and without any surgery of course the surgery was cancelled i believe miracles still happen after that i answer the vet question i said to her the only one i pray asking for help is God, God is good but people need to have faith in him The Glory is to God ! i wanted and need to say this because it is not fair that people think that miracles are not happening they still happen just trust in God with all your heart ! Jesus is the Son of God our lord and savior the Glory is to God king of the whole world

I just noticed a miracle/a warning and a sign of discipline by God yesterday at work place.
Due to my carnal nature, I was about to exploit a certain situation/individual. And I justified myself for a week. Because of good reputation, and the way I manipulated and made the whole thing appear, the senior leadership at workplace were on my side because they trust me. All I did not have peace, and no matter how much I justified to myself, I knew it's not the right thing to do. Yesterday I came this close or almost consummated the wrong decision and God removed that individual from the entire scene just minutes before. God miraculously destroyed that scenario, saving my Christian testimony and a lot of regret. And that is an encouragement for me to fight the good fight.

Thanks so much Pastor Piper. I think a lot of how people define miracles come into play. For a Christian a miracle is the fact that sinners get saved by the grace of God. Or that the Lord removes our pride and makes us humble. Wordly people think that a miracle is people not dying when being prayed upon or the blind being able to see! Well amen because i was blind and now i see, the Lord took the veil off. Praise be to God

Miracles are real the elders of my church prayed over me. I had a pulled muscle in my arm and was healed in one week. I am a very critical person and i was tempted to say it was not a miracle it was time that eventually healed it but I knew it was God. God does not always heal immediately. I give God all the glory!!!

God healed my mind from obsessive thoughts to drink alcohol. I drank until I threw up multiple times a week, for a year or 2. I couldn't stop drinking, and I tried and told myself to stop. God took those thoughts out of my mind and freed me from the obsession to drink alcohol.
When I realized I was trying to drink myself to death, I asked God if he is real, I need his help, and to reveal himself to me. I prayed to Him and read the Bible. I read His Word and found it to be true and so awesome, I believed and accepted Jesus Christ died for all my sins. I went to Church to learn more, even with a hangover sometimes, I still could not stop myself from drinking. A pastor prayed over me and others before a sermon, and that day I never had to fight the urge to drink. I was free from that horrible bondage. I thank Jesus Christ for what He has done for me and what He has done for all of us. GOD HAS SAVED US! We need to live God's way. Read His word and live that way. GOD LOVES US! I pray for you to give your life to God and be free from the bondages that living the worldly ways puts on us.

My dad was born with one leg shorter than the other, so he walked with a limp. My mum used to sew one pant leg to make it shorter for him. One day a pastor prayed for him, and his leg grew and now he has no limp. We have a couple of pairs of pants he used to wear as proof. Overt miracle? I should think so :) Miracles really do still happen, but sometimes people are in their bubble so they might not know.

I had a tendency to believe that the reason why we don't see many miracles is because they've always been few far in between but I remember seeing constant miracles in other countries for years. Places in Africa and South America. There was no shortage of miracles until wordly distractions started to become part of the life of the believer.

I'd add to his second point about modern miracles the point made in Luke 16. The rich man asks to go warn his brothers about hell, to which Abraham responds "If they don't believe Moses and the prophets, they won't believe you." This is exactly the issue with people asking for "proof" of God: the moment someone actually tells them a miraculous story, or they see/hear about something supernatural, they immediately say "nah, there's a logical/scientific explanation for that".

As Dr. Frank Turek says, it's not an evidence problem. It's a moral problem.
