I didn't grow up poor. But my parents never thought buying clothes was important. I'd have new school uniform every year but coming to anything else? We never had Christmas clothes or anything like that. My parents believed in buying what we need at the time. A pair of boots once in a while. A dress in summer. 5 pairs of panties when the ones I have start having holes.

My wardrobe when I started working? 😢 I'm even ashamed. On Thursday I wore a skirt for the first time in 3 years and when i got to work my learners asked me whats on my bum only to find out it had holes because it was eaten by mole for just sitting too long 😢

My fear of not having clothes has led me to hoard clothes

Sis Jenn, you're amazing honestly, and today you really outdid yourself.🥺
You don't understand the kind of impact you're having on lives out here. I've been listening to you for a while and I've never been more confident about the path I'm taking and the decisions I'm making.

My story:
I'm a 22 year old. First year in uni(definitely a late bloomer). And I work 2 part time jobs to keep myself afloat. My parents cover my tuition only(which they're barely affording to, I can never thank them enough). I had been sinking into anxiety because I felt like I never have extra, I'm always on a tight budget and there is no room for anything else. I'm never behind on any bill but I'm one emergency away from falling into chaos financially. I try so hard to be an intentional and responsible young adult. I never really have anything to save after all expenses are paid. (rent, groceries, transport, short courses)
I definitely invest in my skills, talents, hobbies, relationships and the well being of my body cause I know all this will pay off in the long run. Some days are extremely HARD, but I rarely call home to ask for anything cause they're barely getting by. I told my self that I can and I will. My life is my responsibility now and I'm proud of how far I've come 😊. Your content has been a ray of light to me.

So thank you, from the bottom of my heart❤️✨

I love the idea of leaning into gratitude when money leaves your account. I'll definitely be implementing that but instead of thanking money, I'll be thanking God who is my source of provision. Money, like many other things, is only a tool; a part of the manifestation of God's provision and Him enabling me to live freely and abundantly.

This just triggered me to realize that I feel so comfortable with having no money in my account….it just feels right. As soon as I have money I feel the need to just blow it….. 😭

Hi sis. I realised that I actually don't feel scared that much about payday when I budget before payday. Thank you so much for your videos❤

This triggered a whole lot of traumas. I can't even share my financial achievements (big/small) with my family/close relatives because it feels like I'm leaving them behind while I progress and that makes me sad. I learnt so much about myself and my relationship with money. There's definitely a lot of work I need to do on myself.

This was a beautiful video, and will inspire a lot of us to self-introspect and not just handle money at face value; because it is that deep!

Thank you for receiving my comment, Jenn.I was driving while listening to your video and felt so happy that my gratitude practice is being shared with others.

I was reflecting on my experiences on pay day. I was so grateful that I am able to use my money to assist in changing the course of someone's life for the better. I know that funding my niece's matric rewrite expenses will pay off and break the poverty cycle. So yes, our money must work for us. Money can provide more value if correctly allocated.

Thank you once again, Jenn ❤.
