I think we are splitting hairs here when we are calling out people, some of which may not and are not Christians, who are calling this event a "miracle". Sometimes we use the word and it is not implied as Todd has suggested the definition of a true miracle is. I think we can pump the brakes a little when applying our theological understanding of the word to what an unbeliever who doesn't know theology may claim. There are also times it appears Calvinists have quite a issue explaining the differences between God "causing", "controlling", or "allowing" something to happen.

The biggest “miracle” in all of this, is that we the people are getting to see just how inept the Secret Service can actually be, and just how dangerous DEI actually is, to human lives.

God tells us to pray for our leaders. After listening to your logic it sounds like that would be trying to change what God has ordained?

From the scriptures It sounds like prayer can actually change the outcome of a situation.

So, God directing a burst of wind to throw off the bullet's trajectory or putting something in Trump's line of sight that would cause him to look aside, was not a possibility. Gotcha...
So, it was predestined that it was not his time to die because God never intervenes in order to ensure his death only happens 'at the proper time'. Gotcha.... Now that we are splitting how many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

I think the terminology “God intervened” is still legitimate. God is omnipresent and yet his presence could rest on the ark in a special way. Likewise, I think God can be sovereign and yet still “show up” in a special way in certain situations. I think this is very biblical language.

*Not meaning this as a commentary on the attempt on Trump’s life, but just for the concept in general.

If it's Gods will that a person not die before their appointed time, then it wouldn't matter if a dozen gunman fired at once because none would be fatal. That said remember James said don't brag about tomorrow because we might not have it.

It’s not a miracle. The evil man just missed. Ask the seemingly forgotten man who was killed if this was a miracle. Everyone wants to think he was somehow divinely spared because they have made him in their eyes a godly man. I don’t want him to be dead or killed, but I see no real evidence that God is the master of his life of actions
