Ok, I’m Canadian, so ignore me if you fear outside comment. Canada is known to be a peaceful, vibrant country, with good health care, a new dental care program…lots of other stuff. We have a HUGE amount of immigrants from all over, and we love being so diverse. We don’t have the southern border problem that you have. We have calculated the millions of dollars immigrants pay in taxes, and the amount of violence they bring (way less than long-term residents here), the new physicians and nurses…We are mostly immigrants, aside from our Indigenous people. The cultural richness we have is something that makes us proud, not fearful. We need immigrants; you do too.

You are of course right. It's easy enough to see over the last centuries how much immigration has benefited America.
But when a would-be leader wants to create an atmosphere of hate and fear, that demagogue must find a scapegoat.
I would ask anyone reading this;
"Who do you hate?"

Why do many extremely anti-immigration people treat crossing a boarder like they committed mass murder? Like subhuman beings? The crime does not fit the punishment by any means.
