1:29 hmm... sorry to be annoying but, you can actually reach 999 evp without getting a single max hazard level match by simply getting low rank teammates (like demoting on purpose), this is actually how most people get there, they usually only worry about a MHL clear once they reached that high

My personal view on the Eggsecutive VP 999 badges are as follows:

Every other badge in the game, save HLM, you're able to get just by playing the game at your own pace.

VP 999 on the other hand requires you to dedicate over 8 hours of your time to grind towards achieving it before the rotation ends, because every time the rotation switches you are reset back to VP 40, no exceptions, unless you aren't Eggsecutive VP.

It's true that other badges might take longer overall, but VP 999 requires so much of your attention in a span of 40 hours that it is not for the faint of heart, in addition, spending so much time on the badge takes a toll on your patience, your moral, and your motivation.

And as if that wasn't enough, there is one of these badges for every single Salmon Run map. At that point, which one is the hardest to get comes down to which map is the worst one, and everyone knows that Spawning Grounds is easily the worst SR map in Splatoon 3 right now.

In short, I consider VP 999 the hardest to get, because it, and HLM, are the only badges in the game where your progress RESETS. None of the other badges in the game do that.

The x rank and player level badges added in fresh season strike a final nail of fear in my completionist's heart

My opinion on the table turf badge: it should be easy over time since new seasons mean more catalogs and there's like 8 card packs every catalog + chance of fresh card pack

The 10mil Grizzco points is BY FAR the most difficult badge to get in the game due to how much time it takes. As someone who plays a lot of salmon run compared to the rest of the game, I've put in about 100-150 hours into splatoon 3 salmon run so far, and I've killed 53 cohozunas and have around 220k grizzco points. I'm sure it could be done faster for people who grind at super high ranks really often, but at my speed at least that's around 5000 hours of salmon run...

I've yet to get any gold map badges or HLM, I have all the silver ones though, but these can still be put aside as not only do they take a day or two to accomplish, but they HAVE to be done in that short amount of time as your rank resets to 40 every shift change. I've done the 999 grind along with multiple hlms in splat2, I just haven't had the time to play salmon run with a good weapon loadout for 2 days straight yet lol. Also hlm works by team averages of points, meaning it's possible to get the gold stage badges before or after an hlm. I don't know the exact amount in splatoon 3, but the way it worked in splatoon 2 was if your team had a combined rank score of 2400 or above.

Anyways, if I continued at this rate (not that I'll ever get there, but just doing the math) I'd have the gold coho badge around 4.2 mil grizzco points, not even HALF of the way to the gold grizzco badge. Comparing it to the big shots though, is hard to say, as big shots totally might be less common, since you'd need to kill 10 for every cohozuna kill, and coho shows up usually every 3-5 matches assuming you're consistently winning. With the way boss badges work as well, you only get the boss kill if you get the LAST HIT on the boss (which really sucks), unlike cohozuna which everyone gets a count for as long as it dies. I'm only at 2 silver boss badges so far, and since we can't see total boss kills outside coho, I have no idea how many big shots I've killed, but if I get to 100 coho kills before getting the silver big shot badge, than I'd say the big shot badge is harder to get.

Also as for the shop/misc badges, you left out the murch and marigold badges, which murch isn't too bad since you just need to make 100 orders, so doing 1 a day after 100 days will get you there, and you don't even need to buy the items i think (I got my 10 orders badge after ordering an item, not purchasing one) and as for marigold, you have to order 1000 food items, which is by far harder and more demanding than spending 1 mil at any of the shops. It's not anywhere near as bad as the gold boss badges tho, as you can eat/drink as much as you want and don't actually have to play 20 matches every time, but you do need to play salmon run consistently or play the shell out machine a lot to get the tickets in the first place. I've already stocked up over 200 drink tickets and I'm only 10% of the way to a gold boss badge.

As for everything else, it's more so that it's near impossible to get all the badges due to the insane amount of time needed to reach 5 stars on every weapon, but there aren't any specifically that are harder than others, since it's a set xp system and has nothing to do with turf painted, unlike the weapon stamps in splat2 which was turf painted. Gold special badges or mode badges are considerably harder to get than any 5 star badge as well, as by the time you get to 5 stars you'd have around 400-500 wins with that weapon, though its hard to say for sure because ranked gives a lot more weapon xp than turf war.

sorry for the essay lol, it's been a topic I've thought about a lot being a bit of a completionist and salmon run enthusiast, and it's cool to see a video of someone talking about it! great content tho and I'm looking forward to what you make in the future :)

You can also get packs of cards from the Shel-drone. It is a bit annoying to go back to Alterna, go through loading screen go to the drone with your own feet because it's far from spawn and located on an uninkable platform, listen to Callie say that 999 power eggs is a lot for the 30th time, watch the drone fly away (none of this is skippable by the way), throw the dumb fish into water and then the next day go to the delivery machine in the lobby to have a chance to get a pack of cards, rinse repeat until you have to add doing the charger oneshot level twice per day as 999 eggs suddenly becomes a lot of eggs, but it is possible to get all cards eventually.

The amount of effort put into these past two videos has been very impressive for a channel of your size, I'm looking forward to watching your videos get a lot more traction :)

Talking about the Golden Grizzco Point badge, I think it's a bit understated as to just how long it takes to get to 9, 999, 999.
The points you get after a match are calculated using this equation:
(Golden Eggs + Power Eggs / 200)(Pay Grade / 100) + 50 * X = Grizzco Points (where X is the number of waves cleared)

As an average Eggsecutive VP player most matches I play give me a total of about 250-350 points if I win all 3 waves.
Each salmon run game takes about 5-6 minutes, plus a vague average of 1-2 minutes of getting a match, the opening cutscene with the helicopter and the end screen.

Assuming someone started at Eggsecutive VP and won every match they played, getting the golden point badge would take about 33, 300+ games. This (assuming, again, that they won EVERY game) would take about 198000 minutes, or 137 and a half DAYS of playing Salmon Run solidly.

It would take roughly 3300 hours on Salmon Run ALONE to get this badge, which is so much of a time investment that it's actually impossible for someone to get it without cheats until the 24th of January next year.
I genuinely think Splatoon 4 is going to be out before someone gets the Golden Grizzco Point badge legit, which (in my eyes) easily earns it the top spot.

If we are talking about the "hardest" badges, then I would say they are...
- S+ Badge: not everyone is good at the game, so to get this one you would have to either be decent at the game or get lucky with your teammates.
- HLM Badge: not everyone has the time or patience to get high enough to play at 333% and also not everyone is very good at salmon run to even attempt it.
- Tableturf Dojo Max: you need to be good in tableturf which not many are because is a new mode and win against all of the characters.

I know all of those badges can be easily gained if they are good in that specific mode, but I just consider those badges to be the hardest because the rest are simply time consuming rather than actually difficult unless you are trying to get them asap, but if you are not then you will eventually get them as time goes on.

love the tf2 music in these vids. tf2 always feels like a distant older cousin of splatoon.

This is truly one of the best videos about a follow up on what is the hardest badge in splatoon 3. I was unable to be educated about a follow up on what is the hardest badge in splatoon 3 until I found a follow up on what is the hardest badge in splatoon 3. Thank you for posting a follow up on what is the hardest badge in splatoon 3.

Good to know about the special badge progress. I had an inkling (no pun intended) that's how it would work so make it a point to pop a special every match.

When you watch this 9 months later and you now need rank 999 tableturf, level 999 online, and top 10 X rank.

No joke you do deserve more subs, for a new channel/channel with low view counts, this content has no business being made ~this~ well with ~such~ quality but alas it does and is 100% deserved. I love your humor and editing
