If I could tell you the direction a stock is going every week, I would be a millionaire.

“Just buy an option and hope it’d go in the direction that you predicted 🤷‍♀️”

Wow, very interesting strat and I believe if the market value is well monitored and one can really understand the timing like (entries and exits) of the market one can really make much gains from it. Very interesting.

Step 0. Know which direction the stock is going

One important thing about this Strat is he's trading on Robinhood. When you sell these contracts you need the collateral in order sell these contracts. In order to sell a call you need to already own 100 shares of the said stock so if the stock price is $100 you need to have $10, 000 worth of stock or if you're selling a put you need to have $10, 000 in cash. If you're starting out with only a few thousand dollars you can only do these strategies on stock that you can own at least 100 of.

It’s really called legging in. You didn’t mention what option we should buy. Should it be at the money, in the money, or out of the money. What do you do if the trade doesn’t go your way. When do you cut losses or roll.

Legging vertical spreads. All good when you are right, 100% loss on your initial trade when you are wrong

This can also work tremendously because when the stock moves, the IV of the options increase, thus when selling the option you can make back the difference plus extra in extrinsic value.

"Okay, so yeah guys, just accurately predict where the market is headed."
If it were that easy then why tf would you do anything else

So is this like a staggered vertical spread? Just waiting for premium to increase?

So as an example... AAPL. You buy a call just out of the money if you think it's going up. Wait for it to go up, then sell a call above the original strike of the first call... let's say it's two strikes above the original.
If both hit the strike price( the first one is obvious), would you not be obligated to fork out for 100 shares of the second call? Are you setting a strike that has a very low Delta... like .15 or. 10? So that the strike is nearly unlikely to be hit?

I'd love to see a more in depth video about this strategy. I'm very new with options but am more than willing to learn.

What is the best way to learn strategies on options?

Works well with stocks that have high volatility

What strike price for call and put I should select? What should be the width of the spread? Please make a full video so that the whole strategy is understood

See if I got it right.

I buy a call, it goes up, then a few days later I sell a call, or do I sell a put?

I've made similar gains before. The nature of options means you'll occasionally have a windfall. It's not a guarantee of success.

How would you close out of these positions? You’ll end up having a short leg and a long leg, so would you buy back the short and sell the long? Or let 1 or both legs expire?

Whats the difference of "the ghetto spread" and "the bull call spread"

Do we need huge margin money for this strategy?
