When his brothers suggested taking Prophet Yusuf out into the woods to play, their father Jacob’s reaction was one of deep insight. He said that it saddens him that they will “remove” Yusuf from him, signifying a gut feeling that something bad will happen to his son which he has no power to prevent. Believers must never underestimate or dismiss such feelings because sometimes these precautionary, protective thoughts are a form of divine inspiration to warn us against or prepare us for pending harm.

I had a gut feeling something very bad was going to happen a week before, it was very intense and it also felt like a countdown to something awful. On the 7th day suddenly we had a gas explosion and fire ripped through my home with my 3sons inside. On that terrible day I lost my eldest son 9year old also both my 4year old and 16months old boys nearly lost their lives both put on life support machines. With Allahs blessing they returned to me however my beloved eldest son was removed from my life. So yes guts do say a lot which we don't understand.

That gut feeling is intuition. Steve Jobs called it, "more powerful than intellect". The stronger your relationship with Allah and connected with your own spiritual the more you intuition will speak to you. It can go up and down just like our faith. It can warn us about people and situations if we listen. but we dismiss it. Or we just can't avoid it. That inner feeling is also connected to being an Empath. To feel the energy in the room between people and yourself. Nothing supernatural about it. Just the sixth sense. Some are more in tuned than others. like anything else its a gift from Allah if cultivated right...

it's so amazing how you can pick little stuff from the Quran. It is truly Allah guiding you. It makes me realize that understanding Quran you need so much focus and insight. I really pray and want that Allah SWT gives me this insight too. May Allah reward you immensely for sharing. :)

It is like when I get bad gut feelings (ilham) about potential marriage prospects. I trust Allah is guiding me because I am praying, avoiding major sin etc and keeping my interaction with non-mahram halal. May Allah help and guide us all. Ameen

You can't always tell if the guy feeling is correct at the particular moment however if it is and you avoid harm or sin, it makes you more grateful because you know Allah is guiding you and this leads you to be a better Muslim so you should always consider the gut feeling in my opinion.

first of all do shalat 5 times a day frequently, and leave big or small sins...then u'll know thats bad feeling is from Allah not from Syaitan....
