Great another $60k+ EV that will depreciate like a rock

Not sure where they do their research but, nobody in rural America wants a EV.

An all electric Scout, VW answering the question that no one is asking.... Put a TDI and some solid axels on it and now were talking.

"30% of customers said they want their new vehicle to be EV... so we went that route." So 70% of customers said they dont want their new vehicle to be EV, so you went ahead and made it an EV? Brilliant.

You lost me at the :37 mark "...all electric Scout..."

Sweet! A new Scout! (watching excitedly for 35 seconds until I hear it's all electric...) Ah, well that sucks. Moving on.

I liked the after market range extenders on the old Scout. Five gallons each!

I love how car companies can get almost everything right on a remake, but always fail in one area that can kill the whole brand. In this case it's the electric powertrain. It'll loose hard to the bronco because of that

As someone that has owned 4 of the best Scouts made, congrats to the new Scout company on building a Bronco

Build a off road battery vehicle that you can"t recharge anywhere off road! Great business model. Have fun driving it in a shopping mall bro.

OK, I wish them all the success the old Scout platform deserves.
By waiting a year or so, with a product available in the 2026 release year, they will be able to learn a lot about "what works and what does not work!" The planners should call Ford and ask "How are those all electric trucks working out for ya Buddy!" The Scout team better do their homework!

Was interested until I heard it’s EV only. These guys can’t be blind to the current market pull-back from EVs? Huge risk here

As a current EV owner, all I can say is I can't wait for my 2024 Tacoma to come in. Going all Electric on the new scout is a mistake.

There is indeed a lot of history behind International Harvester and the Scout. My family all worked at the Fort Wayne harvester plant and actually my great great grandfather helped build the heat treat ovens there during construction of the plant. Between uncle's and grandparents my family had about 140 years of service to IH. It was a very sad day when construction of the Scout ended and when they closed down the plant in the 80s. My dad built and did a full frame off restoration on my grandfather's scout in the mid 90s to commemorate my familes history at IH, it was an insanely cool truck with a bunch of custom parts that made it something truly special. It was totalled by new owners a long time ago but the memories live on. I know most of Fort Wayne would have loved to see them build the plant here. But at least it's still American made. Hopefully the new models will live up to their hype. Great video guys, keep em coming!

I owned a 1980 scout with the Nissan turbo diesel and the 4-speed manual. I got 36 mpg with it.

Would have been nice if they had used a normal, reliable internal combustion engine. Something robust like the Toyota 4.0 or a small diesel engine like they always use in 4x4s overseas.

Something missing with the new Scout. A V8

Can’t wait to have another $100k EV 4x4 on the market! If they really want to burry the competition, make a bare bones 4x4 plug-in hybrid priced around $45k.

My 81 year old dad and his, would be 93 year old Brother built the old Scout's. So I was very excited when I saw this, then you said EV. Too bad.

It looks pretty good styled kind of like the old one, at least should make a 4cyl gas version so people can take it into the woods like camping and stuff
