Looking for Catholic Answers for your question don’t miss Father George’s live Ask a Priest every Sunday at 3pm CST!

This week Father discusses how to explain why Catholics pray to the Saints and Angels. It is a common question and misunderstanding that Catholic worship Mary and the Saints. Why Catholic pray to the Saints, pray to Mary or pray to Angels, can be confusing. But when we look at what intercessory prayer is and how the Saints are alive and can just like a friend pray for us it can help see the difference between prayer and worship. When we look at how to pray to the Saints and the words of the prayers we say to the Saints it can help better understand the relationship Catholics have with the communion of Saints.

It really helps YouTube share this video with others. And please send this to a friend who is interested in growing deeper in the faith... you could change someone's life!

St Michael the Archangel, pray for me and for all those struggling with sin.

Praying to anyone or anything other than the father through the son would be heading into false idol territory.

Thou shall not worship no other gods or idols before me.

Only through Christ does God hear the prayers of man. Only through Christ can man hope to achieve forgiveness and salvation.

Praying to other entities places doubt, questionability, and weakness upon the power of God. It’s like saying god isn’t strong enough to handle whatever’s being prayed for. It’s like saying God isn’t the almighty.

There is one mediator between God and men the man Christ Jesus. Not the saints, not angels, not anyone else. If you ask me to pray for you I would pray to Jesus Christ for you. I wouldn't pray to angels or to the saints to protect me. I would pray to God who is the Lord of hosts to have his angels protect me.

Did Lord Jesus pray to Angels?
No
And Lord Jesus told us to follow him

And Angeles and saints are not omnipresent

But if u believe that you can ask them to pray for you
That means you believe that they are omnipresent like God

And This is Biggest problem.

Don't ask mary, angels, saits to pray for us

Pary to GOD alone.
