Thanks for sharing this Bryan. I became Catholic in 2019 at the age of 67, I have prayed the Rosary, and just lately have made it a daily must for me to bring me closer to Jesus. I pray the whole 5 decades. But now after listening to your video on the Rosary I will pray it with more conviction and understanding. Thank you Bryan for this video, it is truly a God send.

I'm a recent convert from being anti-Catholic to being Catholic.
I struggled with the rosary as well, and was fearful about not worshipping Mary, and I also thought that the rosary was overly focused on Mary.
But I decided, since I trust the church more than my own "feelings", and clearly the church promotes to pray the rosary,
that I'd pray the rosary daily for one month.
And inside I made it clear for myself that I'd only worship God, and I kept reminding myself that this is Catholic (we don't worship Mary).

And now two+ weeks in, I can say, that before as a Protestant, I NEVER stood still in this way to Jesus.
I never took the gospel truths in me daily like this.
And I was used to always intellectually understanding the texts, what is the meaning? why is this written? what is the context? etc.
But I've learned to try to empathise more with Jesus, the apostles, mother Mary.

By meditating on things like, how would it have felt for Jesus.
Being fully human and seeing his own people yell to crucify him.
Or being surrounded by roman troops hitting Him.

How would He have felt looking at the eyes of Mary, looking at her son.
Or simple things like, when Jesus is praying that the cup of wrath passing Him by, the disciples where only a stonethrow away, yet they fell asleep.
That got me thinking like, we can be so close to Jesus, but still fall asleep (which imo. was my state while being protestant).

It's really a Christ centred prayer.

I hope this testimony can be of any help for someone.
If you are protestant looking into Catholicism for example and are reluctant to pray the rosary.
Try it devoutly, and make clear the distinction for yourself that you are only worshipping God.
And when you think the Hail Queen prayer is to much, don't yet pray it, figure out WHY is the prayer like this.
And what is intrinsically wrong with it?

Thank you for this. My wife and I always pray the Rosary every night (well, sometimes we miss, but it is rare) and I have never thought that I wasn't praying to Christ. It is a meditation and is so special. Not sure how I could make it through life anymore without this prayer.

I prayed the rosary the night before my car accident. Jesus and Mother Mary saved my life. I have been praying the rosary ever since. How bad was my accident? —my insurance adjusters were shocked when I picked up the phone, saying they’re happy to talk to me. I am not paralyzed. Just had fractured ribs and messed up face. I am a recently converted Catholic. Although I have been praying the rosary, I did not view it as a meditation on Christ in this way. In regard to Mary, I remember when I was a kid asking them how come we don't give her more consideration. I said that she had given birth to Christ and that without her we wouldn't have him. The only time we heard about Mary from the pulpit was on Mother's Day. I told them that the Catholcs showed her more consideration than we did (implying they were doing the right thing even though they were so "bad"). My argument didn't go very far. So glad I'm Catholic! Thank you for the videos.
