EVEN MORE SIGNS That You're growing as a Car Enthusiast! Maybe you're growing so far into being a Car Enthusiast, you actually grow out of being a Car Enthusiast. Uh err, I mean, yeah cars. Cars have 4 wheels, yes. Cars are great. Cars are totally still just as captivating to me now as they were when I started, but I've learned to become more content and less frustrated. I noticed pursuing your dreams is important, but also enjoying the moment is important too. When you dream too hard about a Koenigsegg, you start to hate the Corvette you have in your Garage...just me? No one else? Ok. Well at least I still have 2 wheels I can count on...HaHA PoRSchE mOtORCyCLe go BRRRR. Yes, Porsche made Motorcycles, they also made tanks too. Fun facts of the day, people seem to forget that the 911 was literally just an elaborate Volkswagen Beetle Kit Car. Another fun fact, the VW Beetle was originally created by the BLEEEEEEP Party of WWII Germany. Yeah, uhhh, no more fun facts, ok bye. Scroll up and watch the vid plz.

Number 4: I stopped going to paid car shows in 2015. Mainly because it was the same cars every time (1 of 78 iN tHiS tRiM aNd cOloR) and excessive trophy displays by some owners. I'm glad to see this complaint is a universal thing with veteran enthusiasts.

Ever since I discovered autocross and the people that attend it, I haven't had the desire to go to a single car meet. The car meets in my area are full of clout chasers and dangerous drivers. Autocross, on the other hand, is where I've met some of the coolest people and had some of the best times! There isn't any clout chasing, showing off, or being stupid. Just a bunch of car enthusiasts hanging out, sharing car advice, and driving.

I'm a 19yo enthusiast who just bought his first car last month, and I thought I knew enough about cars. Having my own car to take care of and interact with every day has been a real eye opener for me. I've got a dad who's an accomplished mechanic who knows my car well, and he's been showing me so many more things about how my car works than I could previously comprehend. Bladed's videos have kind of been a reference to how I should be presenting myself to my friends and peers as a car enthusiast, but I've still got a hell of a lot to learn.

I am 16 with a 1990 C4 Corvette. I have already done some fixes (no major problems) and understand working on cars since I've been doing it with my dad for years :D

As a non car enthusiast the last 2 signs of maturing car enthusiasts was deep bro. I like your vids and entertaining. Thats advice we all need even if you’re not a car person.

Sometimes, seeing a car passing by is cooler than seeing it at a car meet

I really agree on the road rage point. By no means am I over that phase but every time I get annoyed on the road, I get back home feeling pretty bad about the whole incident…

I can relate with point 4

In the end of the day, it's just like "Who am I anyway". It's a bit of pain to think about let's be real. We are just human looking for validation.

But, I also thinking what was I'm accomplished anyway for that same amount of validation. It's not like I actively and personally befriend with them. Then, I'm just realize I better be made myself happy with what will I accomplishment instead. Because simply, that's what really directly matter to me

The biggest show of maturing in my opinion is just enjoying a car because you enjoy it. I have a friend drove a turbo mustang and only cared about speed. If your car was slower it was garbage doesn’t matter if your just cruising in to it Corolla or on the freeway going to a off road spot in a truck if your car is slow it was worthless. But then he started driving a bone stock Miata massively slower than his mustang but he loves it and now he’s enjoying just having his car

For the first point you made I have a 05 tahoe with 240k miles and I'm doing an engine rebuild soon so I don't have to closer to 300k and it's my daily I'm not gonna mod it alot

A pattern I see with maturing overall is that you pay less attention on the quantities and more on the qualities.

For me, "Initial D" taught me a lot about the difference between an enthusiast and a professional in all the areas you described. Driving *CAN* be fun. In all other cases, it is just a pastime that is needed to go places.

Honestly I love the idea of driving bone stock cars. Sure modding is cool but it takes away from the whole reason the (performance) car was designed the way it was.

A thing I hate about most of the car community is that, apparently, for preferring stock looking cars, or "boring" cars like the Toyota Prius, I can't be a car guy

#2 is on point. I used to get furious when I got cut off. I just laugh now like wow, you’re cool you’re important and 99% of the time I’ll see them at the red light in a minute lol. I’ve been driving on the right for a while now and agreed, it is so calm. It’s also hilarious watching everyone else speeding, swerving in and out, road rage watching. It’s amazing. And when I have to go on a ramp to highway and Mr straight line speeder is riding my ass on the way up to it, I full throttle up the ramp and everytime the person is in the dust. Everyone can drive fast straight, once those curves/ramps come they reveal they’re not that guy.

Number:2- ever since I started just riding in the right lane, unless passing, I enjoy it so much cause it's actually just very peaceful. Instead of trying to "go fast" I just take it chill and set my cruise to 69, I don't worry about a thing cause everybody else is passing me, except when I'm passing.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I have an 03 grand marquis and I keep it stock. I always try to stay on top of maintenance and enjoy the car for what it is: a cruiser.

That’s a huge change from when I was a budding enthusiast. I realised that swapping cars every two years for clout was not practical on my wallet .

And this was my biggest revelation. Motorcycle groups are much more friendlier and less toxic than the car community. Something about there being a chance that you might not see a person again makes you appreciate them and their motorcycle.
