Roku remote pairing and troubleshooting

I have a Roku Remote and Streaming Stick that no longer pairs. I believe I exhausted all of these hacks to get it to pair again, but always a goose egg! As a workaround I downloaded the Roku Official App onto my G4 - honestly I hate using the Roku App on my LGG4 because it drains the battery too quickly; thus, I must keep my G4 plugged into a electrical socket and I have to change the stream like I did in the 1970's before we had a remote control for our TV. My Roku is a 3600x model and it has been great for four-(4) years until May 2022.

Had to order a new power adapter and wireless receiver. My old remote no longer worked with the new receiver. Thank goodness for youtube. All I had to do was pair it and this video helped. Remote now working.

This Roku device is getting very irritating to deal with. I like the simplistic remote, but ugh! It gets stuck and you can't pause or switch channels, or even turn it off! What's up with that!? I haven't even had this 3 months!

I got the remote directly from the Roku website? How come my remote doesn't have the sync button? I got it from the website so it would hopefully have the sync button? The remote doesn't have it on the back on on the front either.

I watching a bunch of absurd YT videos n was about to go out to buy new tv TODAY!! Then I found this video THANK The 2nd option worked n I’m back in business☺️☺️☺️. 2 other videos suggested beating my remote to hell😖 Glad I had the sense NOT to do that!!!! PLEASE b4 u do anything crazy watching “some” of these other videos check the official Roku platform first!!! Thank u Roku!!

I've been sitting with a "broken" remote for almost 7 months now...finally sat down to properly troubleshoot ruling out batteries...it worked!...WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG lol. Now I can watch tv in the bed. Just did a power cycle with reset button.

Had to do the power down which reset all my stations, but I was able to finally pair. I was careful not to request the ones that were being pushed such as Hulu, Sling, HBO etc, but Roku went ahead and installed 61 channels despite my saying no and reading through all the crap to make sure I did not select them., and I only had about 40 installed to begin with. So my unique ones such as the the movies from the library didn't show up. I looked forward to re-entering all the userids and passwords to things like prime, CBS All Access, and my others. The remote was working this morning. Just fine.

I have a total of 123456 roku remote all of them are different and none of them have a pairing button except one so explain to me how I'm supposed to pair it without a button I don't understand it

Rebooting the streaming stick and the roku remote, worked for me. Cool.

What does Roku recommend--RF or IF remotes/players? Isn't IF a bit quicker and more reliable? On the downside, isn't it less likely to have the earphones, power, and volume buttons?
