for everyone who doesn’t have the pairing button (simple roku remote) hold the back and home button down at the same time for 10 seconds (buttons are right beside eachother), green light by the power button will start blinking and it pairs! took me an hour to figure out thought i’d save you the time

This didn’t help at all I have Roku built into my tv and my remote unpaired and it’s not an enhanced one….smh

The screen said it paired my remote and it works for the Roku screens but still not working for volume or on/off on the tv.

Thank you! I watched about 10 videos before this one that were no help. Finally I found this one and turned the tv off and back on again and it immediately started pairing with the remote. No more guessing which combinations of buttons to push and for how long. Thanks again!

I have a GE remote as a replacement. Easy to pair. Hold the set up button until the light blinks press the rewind button four times. Press the power button. Done

Didn't work either, and it's not the batteries because I used them from another working remote.

August 2022: Fails to answer the question: "If I've lost my IR/basic remote for Roku Express (3930x) and wish to use another IR remote, can that 2nd IR remote be paired with my Roku device? If No, just state that.
