Nvidia plans to officially show off these powerful new cards at CES 2025, with the first models expected to hit stores in February. But according to the leaks, the 5090 will be a monster in terms of power, while the 5080 is getting only a smaller performance boost.

The official launch for both the RTX 5080 and 5090 is coming in January 2025 at CES. After that, you should be able to buy them starting in February. These cards will definitely raise the bar for gaming and other tasks that need a lot of processing power, but they’re not going to be cheap.

The real question is whether gamers and professionals will be willing to pay the high price for the RTX 5090, or if the more modestly upgraded RTX 5080 will be good enough for most people. Either way, Nvidia is aiming to keep its place at the top of the GPU market with these new releases.
