NVIDIA RTX 5090 Laptop GPU Specs Leak
The upcoming NVIDIA RTX 5090 laptop GPU will feature 24GB of GDDR7 memory on a 256-bit memory bus. This combination is expected to significantly improve memory bandwidth, which would enhance gaming and content creation performance. The next-gen GPU architecture, known as Blackwell, will also bring power efficiency improvements, likely reducing heat output and allowing for better battery life in laptops. Overall, it’s shaping up to be a high-performance GPU aimed at delivering top-tier performance in portable devices, ideal for gamers and professionals on the go.

More Details on the RTX 5090 Laptop Variant
Another leak about the NVIDIA RTX 5090 for laptops confirms it will use GDDR7 memory, which is faster and more power-efficient than GDDR6. The GPU will support a 256-bit memory interface, enhancing its ability to handle high data loads, making it great for gaming and video editing. It will be one of the most powerful GPUs ever put into a laptop, providing nearly desktop-level performance while keeping energy consumption optimized.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Breakdown
The RTX 5080 is another high-end GPU from NVIDIA’s Blackwell series, aimed at offering strong performance at a slightly more affordable price than the 5090. Expected to come with 24GB of GDDR6X memory, the 5080 is positioned as a great option for gamers looking to get excellent performance without going for the absolute top-tier model. It will still support modern standards like PCIe Gen 5, and should deliver excellent performance in 4K gaming and content creation tasks.

NVIDIA’s Blackwell GPUs Enter Full Production
NVIDIA’s next-gen Blackwell GPUs, which include the RTX 5090 and 5080, are now in full production. Demand for these GPUs is described as "insane," driven by high expectations for improved performance and efficiency. Blackwell represents NVIDIA’s continued push for dominance in the GPU market, offering better ray tracing, AI-driven graphics enhancements, and more efficient power usage, making them ideal for both gamers and professionals.

Intel Core Ultra 200 CPU’s Hotspot Shift
Intel’s upcoming Core Ultra 200 CPU, which uses the LGA 1851 socket, has had its hotspot moved further north compared to the LGA 1700. This means the hottest part of the CPU is positioned differently, which could affect how cooling solutions need to be designed or positioned. It’s an important detail for builders and manufacturers to take into account, as this shift could impact thermal management in high-performance systems.

NVIDIA Ending RTX 4080 Super GPU Production
NVIDIA plans to stop the supply of the RTX 4080 Super GPUs by November, as they prepare for the simultaneous launch of the RTX 5090 and 5080. This shift suggests that NVIDIA is fully moving its focus to the next-gen Blackwell series, making the upcoming GPUs their new flagship products. For consumers, this means the RTX 5090 and 5080 will soon be the best available options, and anyone considering an upgrade might want to wait for these new cards.

People seem to forget about NVIDIA Titan GPU's. Those cards were discontinued and later re-branded as 90-series and through marketing managed to get people to buy them at high cost.

The 5080 is such a bad value card spec wise that you are better of buying a 4090 new or used or empty your wallet for the 5090. I said it before the 5080 isn't made to be sold. It's made to steer you to the 5090 or left over stock 4090.

Hard to believe laptop will be any good as last time they fake 4090 laptop with 4070 performance instead

Based on what the increase has been on the other two releases (1499 for 3090 and 1599 for the 4090, I do not see them going drastically over that amount. I also think there will be 2 releases of the 5090. A cut down version for around 2000 and the full version of 2500. They still have to worry about perception about their price increases so I feel pretty confident in these figures. I do not see 3 grand. Even at 20 percent inflation that is under 2000.

Extra VRAM isn't a performance boost in the same way extra Ram isn't a performance boost. You're not going to get a performance boost from 24Gb of Vram to 16GB if the game you are playing doesn't use more than 16GB of Vram, The performance difference between the 4090 and 4080 is 10% and not even worth sneezing even if there wasn't a huge price difference

I just bought the 4080 super, The whole computer for around $1, 999. And it's a really good computer. But I'm wondering if I should have waited another 8 months and got the 5080. At the time that I bought it I hadn't heard about that one coming out and now I hear about it right after I buy it and I still have two and a half months to return it for the money back. Did I make a mistake buying the 4080 super? Should I have waited? Is it going to be that much of a difference, I mean I'm sure it will be but, for what I paid would I have been better off waiting?

there is absolutely no way they price the 5080 16gb at 1.5k especially if it's only 10% better performance than the 1.6k 4090 with 24GB
your logic here is not accounting for the generational uplift which has been 40-60% better value every 2 years, whether that value comes from the price or the performance.
if the 5080 16gb is 10% better than the 4090 that put it in the 35-40% better performance than the 1000$ 4080 super.
2080ti 1200$, 3080ti 1200$ same price so the value comes from the 52% performance uplift.
3080ti 1200$, 4080 1200$ same price 33% performance uplift, so what does nvidia do ? they reduce the price to 1000$ and bump the card a bit, so you are getting the 40-60% generational value improvement by getting 35% more performance for 200$ less.
the card name don't matter, it's the price range to performance value that does, and this is what nvidia considers when they put their target performance for every price range they want to target.
this past generation we got 4070Ti for 800$ with the performance of a 1.5k 3090.

00:23-1:42 first of I just need to let you know that you need to double check these things before stating them as fact. I say that for your integrity as a creator and not in any way, shape or form trying to talk poop about your work. The 4080 was discontinued and the Nvidia official product page changed its status to End of Life. Also yes the 40series was ridiculous in the beginning but the super series wasn't planned that Gen but it was a good move however we can't forget the Super Series was all the bad higher tier wafers cut down to recycle which also in turn made performance more stable on the core when OC. People also need to wait for reviews and benchmarks before jumping the gun. It's why channels like yours exist. 4070S was a huge improvement on the 4070 and the 4070TI S with the memory and memory bus upgrade if overclocked could beat a 4080 as the 4070S 4070TI S were using AD103 chips and the 4080 S only got a memory upgrade due to China's need of the 4090 D. This was all caused because TSMC decided to double the price per Wafer even though the chip Crysis was over.
