Nvidia appears to be releasing their RTX 50 Blackwell GPUs soon to replace the current 40 series, and the latest leaks and rumors are pointing towards the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 being very powerful GPUs. The 5090 especially is looking good as not only will it have 80% more memory bandwidth than the 4090, but more cores, higher clock speeds, and possibly most importantly DisplayPort 2.1 allowing for an uncompressed 4K 240Hz HDR. With compression displays may finally deliver 8K 240Hz as well making these RTX 50 GPUs very impressive not only for gaming, but for professionals as well.

Well according to the leaks, the 5080 specs are disappointing.... 16 gb, 256 bit bus and 10752 cuda it's lame. Typical NVidia

Looking at the calendar, I think we can forget a September release.

Lets hope there still isn't a strike at the ports when they are released.

It really does not matter if the 5000 series meets or beats expectations if no one can afford to pay for them.

A RTX5080 with 24 GB would be my new board. Perfect companion to my 4K OLED monitor.

I think I might just bite the bullet and go for the 5090, I’ve finally got a solid job and financial stability, I’ll just save up and go for it

Honestly I’d hope for a 24gb 5080 to have a 384 bit and higher bandwidth hopefully

I hope the 5080 is 384 bit, 24gb gddr7 and more cuda cores than the leak suggests.

I was disappointed that the 4000 series wouldn't utilize the latest DP and HDMI cables. Will the 5000 series be able to utilize the latest HDMI and DP Cables?

No GPU should be made with less than 16GB of Vram it is the industry standard. The 4070ti had a lot of potential, but at 12GB, it doesn't perform like a card should at its price. I have been debating going AMD for the last couple of generations. I feel like this is the year. I encourage others to do the same. Send them a message.

So confusion starts again. Just like the 1060, there was a 3GB, 5GB, 6GB, and another 6GB version but running on GDDR5X.

I think it will be exciting, but the price is going to be a real issue

5080 cut down at ridiculous level in comparison to the 5090, maybe we should yet again wait for a significantly better price X performance model as it was with the 4080 Super.
