It's so nice to have a video like this that provides clear succinct information without 20 minutes of rambling backstory, family genealogy, pet introductions and toy wall show-n-tell. Thank You

Thank you sir. Your a life saver. I got a back up 5g mobile ISP for back up. Plugged it into my switch and all my devices insisted on using that over my cable modem. That was fine but everything was slower. Big thanks.

i just bought this router after my 7yr old ubiquiti USG stopped working. The WAN failover works better than the USG, in that it will fail back to the primary WAN. I was having issues with the USG still sharing the secondary WAN instead of cutting it off once it failed back to primary. this made for unintended 4GLTE usage

You can't beat the price on this for the features it packs. The interface is simple enough and includes tool tips for most things. It lacks any sort of fancy graphs you might be used to with ubiquiti products, but makes up for it with the simplicity of setting up things like bandwidth monitoring, web filtering etc.

The only downsides i'm seeing is that bootup and login can be very sluggish, also the SYS light blinks all the time for normal operation, which is kind of weird. Also i'd love to see them offer an SFP+ module or 10Gbe ports in the future, but guessing that's for the next tier up

Thanks for your work and sharing this info. If the primary internet goes back on, will the router automatically switch from backup internet to primary internet or will it continue running using backup internet?

I have the exact same multi-WAN router and have configured it as described. However, I was only able to configure my main (fiber) ISP router in to Bridge Mode. The back-up WAN is a 5G router, but it doesn't seem to have bridge mode or passthrough options. Is there anything I can do to avoid a double-NAT situation?

Hi, thanks for the video - very informative. I would like to use a TP-link ER605 V2 only with Starlink (Gen 3), the idea is to put the Starlink (Gen 3) router in bypass mode, then to hook my pc ethernet up to the TP-link and only use it as a cable router, nothing else installed (hardware wise) - do you think this is possible?

Can I use my Celluar hotspot on my Phone as the failover connection? Could a USB to Ethernet adapter for the WAN 2 port.

Hi, thank you for this video! Do you know if there's a way to setup the router to perform load balancing between the two ISP providers (while still keeping a main ISP provider would be ideal). I'm thinking about doing this at home and would love to make use of the extra bandwidth while both ISPs are up and running. Thanks in advance!

A warm greeting bro, I hope you're all doing well. I need your help, please. I have this load balancer model, and my issue is that if I disconnect the primary WAN, I lose connection for about 1 minute before it switches to the second WAN port. Is there a way to avoid losing connection, meaning that if the primary connection is lost, the WAN 2 is automatically assigned? For example, to be in a video conference and have the connection remain stable despite disconnecting WAN 1 at that moment.

Great information and explanation!
I had ordered the ER605 from Amazon a few weeks ago for the same Comcast/Starlink issue. However, since this video, I did not realize there was a V2. The ER605 I received was V1.6, which is completely different from the V2. I did, after seeing this video manage to find and configure the backup as shown.
When in operation, Comcast goes down and the Starlink comes online in ninety or so seconds, will the ER605 return automatically to Comcast when Comcast comes back online?
