Hello everyone, In this video I am going to show you how to configure load balancing on tp link omada er605 vpn router.

What is WAN failover load balancing ?
WAN failover is a mechanism that automatically switches from one internet connection to another in the event of a failure. If one of the WAN connections experiences a downtime or failure, the system seamlessly switches to the other functional connection to ensure continuous connectivity. This is crucial for maintaining network uptime and avoiding disruptions.

Thanks for the walkthrough. I have the same exact router. While the failover works, it doesn't revert back to the primary WAN when it comes back online. Any suggestions or pointers, would be really helpful!

In Transmission \ Load Balancing \ Online detection - why cant both be online.

I have lines from 2 ISP's (WAN and WAN \LAN 1)
I want the router to combine those 2 WAN and WAN \LAN1 so if the one is WAN is 1000 \ 1000mbs and WAN\LAN1 is 500\ 500 mbs ==== so when i do a speed test i was expecting the speed to be 1500 \ 1500 mbps but is it not, it still only 1000 \ 1000 mbs.

I have a connection with gateway 192.168.178.1 and another connection with gateway 192.168.1.1. What should I put as IP address in WAN1 and WAN2?

Seems such a waste for the Backup WAN only being utilized when the Primary WAN gets disconnected. Wishing the ER605 unit has WAN Link Aggregation feature wherein it can use all connected WANs at the same time. If any connection fails, the total bandwidth just gets reduced and Internet access still continually works as long as there is still one WAN connection working.

It took 5 seconds to switch to other link. If you are a CSR this doesn't help you. your call has dropped. Spedify is better than this
