Thank you for showing the automatic setup. Everyone else is making this way too technical for a novice. They show videos about changing addresses and pinging and stuff. I didn’t even know you could just let the router do it automatically. I will be setting mine up next weekend. Thanks for the great video.

Hey @SpliffyTV, I was wondering at 16:46 you set up Primary and Secondary WAN. is Link Backup necessary for the Load Balancing to work? if you dont setup Link Backup, does that mean that the 2 WAN are used simultaneously? Thank you for any info you can give me. Great Video guide BTW.

Very informative. Salamat bai! 😊 I got one and hooked up my Sky Fiber modem/router and Smart Prepaid Home WiFi as the backup. The Smart prepaid works fine, no issues. But the Skyworth modem/router of Sky Fiber is not stable. After initially connecting, the internet connectivy to the ER605 seems to get lost or blocked. But if I connect my laptop directly to the Skyworth modem/router, the connection is fast and stable. So there seems to be a problem with the connection between the Skyworth modem/router and the ER605. Any advice will be appreciated.

i have one doubt, i am using the same device if the lan cable remove it switching is working fine, but my case lan 1 internet failover its not switching to backup, should i change any particular setting to get the connection

Hey Spliffy great vid - in the WAN tab for my defualt gateway i do not see a private IP - i see my ISP public IP. Also should i be able to access my ISP modem admin page when in bridge mode with Omada router

I have never set up a VPN for my home network before. And I have always wanted to try it. Like, let my iPhone or iPad log into my home network from out there. So that I can load an ebook into my iOS ebook readers. That would be amazing for my study.

Is that how this VPN facility work? Turn my home network into a VPN? If you decide to do a VPN video for the ER605 I would be greatly in your debt!! <3

By the way, I have one big question, on the ISP's side (the cable modem or the DSL router) do I have to configure them in a special way to accomodate plugging in this device? I think there are vague network terms like bridge modes that I have no concept if related to this, maybe you can explain to dummies like me!! >_<

hello, i was wondering f this router can help with my case. I want my lo-tolerance p2p videogaming not affected by my videogame's stream output, so i have two lines coming in with VDSL, so this router i suppose will priotize my gaming UDP connection over anything ?
