A lot of people are saying this isn’t a big deal because monitors automatically do 4K/upscale but me personally I think it is a big deal because I don’t have a $900 HDMI 2.1 monitor to play 4K 120 FPS on so being able to finally play at a sharp 1440p at 120 FPS instead of 1080p at 120 FPS is a game changer.

1440p is the sweet spot above 1080p for me. I'm glad to know I can use the same monitor for gaming and work without straining my eyes.

This is going to be AWESOME! not only is it a new option, everything is going to run better and still look great at 1440P, people on 1440P won't have to choose between the better looking or better performing gfx options.

I’m happy to see this! Coming from Series X which has allowed you to play 1440p 120Hx since launch, going from 1080p to native 1440p for all monitor gamers is a big step up! Great for PS5 players!

So glad this is finally here, even though it should've been a day one feature. My 1440p monitor was capable of accepting a 4k signal and downscaling it to 1440p so playing at 60fps was fine, but if I wanted 120fps for COD or something it was a 1080p signal which wasn't great. Now playing at 1440p120 I can see a noticeable difference

Exactly 6 years ago since the release of PS4 Pro have we been waiting/asking for this. It was about time we got it. This is now worth considering buying a PS5, if you have a 1440p monitor
