PS5's 1440p 120hz is so amazing!

I found it better to use a hdmi 2.1 to display port cable to work with non hdmi 2.1 monitors. Was able to use 1440p at 120hz. Otherwise I had to use 1080p. Without it was about 1440p at 60-75hz. But that was just on my samsung.

To clarify the PS5 can run 4k 3840x2160 at 60hz. 2560x1440p at 120hz. 1920x1080p 120hz. But not all game support 120hz so it only reads 120hz if your playing a game that supports 120hz the rest of the time it reads 60hz. Thats why peope are mad that the PS5 cant run 4K 120hz all the time. Supposedly the PS5 PRO will reach this or PS6.

I have an 1440p 144hz monitor but when I connect it (free sync off) the best I can get is 1440p 60hz, when I test 120hz I get a black screen

So does 120hz only work for 1440p or something? Because my ps5 displays in 60hz at 2160p and my Xbox does 120hz in 2160p. Same cables for both systems and both have hdmi 2.1. I’ve also turned everything on that needs to be and still only get 60.

The Text and writings in the main display screens is 1440 p to but the video game will be in 1080p

Ive always had the standard tv and console set up but here recently ive been trying to upgrade my set up on a budget and i was wondering if i should get a monitor first or a pro controller first any suggestions?
