If your Dewalt XR 18v or 20v Battery is not charging fully this is one if the reasons cells are not balanced

I recover many of these batteries by using a light to discharge the cell pairs down the the level of the lowest pair and then charging the whole pack as all the cells will reach full charge at the same time. So far I have noticed the four cells nearest the terminals are fully charged at about 4 volts and the other six are usually 2.5 volts or less.

Had a few where the balance connection was broken on the circuit board somewhere. No continuity from the cell pair to one of the C terminals. Soldered a jumper wire onto the back of the terminal connection board and to the cells bypassing the circuit board to fix.

Try the venom procharger or somthing similar. Adjustable on amps and voltage. Just charge them one by one. Just did it on my and it worked in 5 mins

So how do you balance the cells without taking it apart and doing it manually??

So if I use a test light to run them all down then change them up together it should work out how can I fix this I have several like this

I’ve got brand new DEWALT batteries still in the original package. Is it ok for them to sit unused?

I came across this video because I bought a two pack of 5ah batteries for Christmas and both of them only go to two bars. I feel like I got taken advantage of by someone who replaced new batteries for bad batteries and sold them to me.
