This is a great point for beginners to realize, I've had many non lifters/beginners ask me questions like "when will I see results/get big" or my prrsonal ick "how long do I have to do it/when can I quit and still have a great body".
The truth is, you can't, it'll take much longer than you have the patience for, and you can never quit/stop doing it, ever, not if you want a great looking body.

Beginners should be taught that it's not about the end result, it's about the joy in pushing yourself and getting small achievements, and just the feeling in general, it feels great

Slight (nerdy) correction here: Dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine aren’t hormones, but rather neurotransmitters. Hormones travel through the blood stream while neurotransmitters travel between neurons, especially in the brain.

That’s all to say that, yes, your nervous system immediately undergoes significant change during a workout, making you feel accomplished and thinner. Stay fit, people! :D

Edit: thank you for correcting me, random strangers. Dopamine and the other neurotransmitters can also act as hormones, making this video correct!

This is so true. Working out saved me from serious mental illness, addiction, social failure and turned me into a respected man. Recognizing I felt bad every time I failed to exercise or go to the gym for more than 4 days made me realize I wasn’t working out to look good but to feel good.

Started working out one day. Shit routine, not very welcoming gym, couldnt push myself to go after that day, went back to bad lifestyle immediately. Went to Judo, we do a lot of ground fighting as well, decent workout, very fun, been going every week. Tried gym after, same shit routine, same unwelcoming place, I loved it. This man is right, teach your brain that you enjoy excercise, makes everything 10 times easier. Id start with something fun that still gives a good pump, then work to more practicality after youre used to it.
