Losing 10 pounds a month is a reasonable goal to set if internal and external factors are favorable. But you may be facing metabolic or environmental issues that make this target harder to hit. In this video, I share the best methods for losing weight fast and the special circumstances that may impact how quickly your body will shed the pounds.

I decided 3 weeks ago to try a low carb diet. I’m down 9lbs! Today my 4th week begins. I have never lost that much weight so quickly. My starting weight was 160 and I am 5 foot 6 and 44 years old for reference.

I have lost 5 pounds per month in the last 3 months since being on a Keto diet or Keto lifestyle. I wasn't obese, but overweight. Now I have only 10 lbs to lose but I am 62 years old. It has been a challenge but I feel so much better and I have no intentions of going back to my old eating habits of eating too many oranges or ice cream or sweet desserts. So, I am happy that I am losing weight, even if is a slow but steady progress.

From 165 lbs September 2019 to 125 pounds as of September 2020. The 40 pounds came off SLOWLY but steadily. I am giving myself another year to get to 110 pounds. I do not want any floppy skin. So far so good. One pound a month is OK for me.

I am 54, peri menopausal and hit a stall after losing 46 pounds since Nov 2018 on Keto and IF (usually 18/6).
I had even gained about 1.5 back with no apparent changes in my eating. I started OMAD 6 days ago and have dropped 3 pounds in those 6 days. What I love about Keto and IF is that we can always research and tweak something to help our bodies work more efficiently.

Great information. I've lost 110lbs in 18 months but I've plateaued for a few months and I need another 40lbs to hit my goal. Attitude is SO necessary to keep going .. and celebrate all the successes along the way and find ways to have special occasions that are not wrapped around food. Yes menopause slows things down a LOT (boo). Insulin resistance is a real thing which is why I stopped eating all sugars and flours but I'm still a bit of a turtle, but slow and steady ... has worked.

A positive attitude is what's needed for most endeavors in life. That's why I watch these videos. I have stage 4 prostate cancer but I refuse to let it get me down. I suppose I could go off in the corner and boo hoo about it, but I've never believed it would do me in if I follow my regiment of working out, diet of low carb and nearly no sugar, following Dr's recommendations, taking my meds as directed, etc. Having said that however, at some point it will probably do me in but I see it as distant future.
You are an inspiration for me and I will continue to check out these videos as long as I'm able. One day at a time I'm living a positive life and will do so until it's time to "shuffle off this mortal coil."

I lost 60 pounds so far in 4 months.
Don’t seem to have any loose skin.
231 to 171. If I can lose 10-12 more I will have a six pack showing for the first time since 25 years old. 57 now.
Keto and I F is truly amazing.

I added carbs and cals. But i also stop drinking a gallon of water through out the day, instead...now i drink a 20oz or 16oz water with my three meals, i will also have a 8oz of a diet tea or diet coke or a small smoothie and i don't eat or drink between my meal..

this new method has been working great for me, i no longer getting high fluctuations on the scale and i making progress each week. 👍🏻

I started a low carb diet with Dr Becky in February. I just started following the 21days challenge and intermittent fasting. I cannot do any exercise or even go for a walk due to health reasons. My weight kept going up . My appetite increasing all the time. I have lost 16lbs since February with no effort my cravings disappeared almost immediately. I enjoy every meal and when I go out for a meal I always find foods that won't interfere with my choices. I cannot thank you enough Dr Becky. XX

I have mostly been vegetarian from age 15. I'm 56 today and was overweight by 15 kg for about 6 months ago. I lost it relatively fast (1, 75 kg/week) by eating two time/day: 1. meal @ 9-10 AM & 2. meal @ 2-3PM. I did sometimes work out. But the maine factor to lose the fat – from my experience – was the "no eating after 3PM". With my stomach being totally empty giving my body the optimal environment to work on cleaning myself (incl. fat) instead of using energy on digistiving food (if you eat close to bedtime).

Thank you so much for another inspiring video. I feel so discouraged at times, I only want to lose 5kg but it is so hard to get that drop.

Really excellent video. I dropped 90lbs last year following the LCHF guidance from this channel and others like it. This year I am holding at my goal weight (6'2" 185lbs), and working on increasing muscle mass while getting rid of remaining fat (and excess skin!!). I will be 66 next month. I owe my success in large part to the level-headed advice that I get here.

Awesome video, thanks! After losing 60 pounds in 2018 and maintaining that weigh loss for 6 months, I am taking the summer to lose the last 10 pounds (concentrated in the now-small tire around the middle and the upper arms--UGH!) I went up to low carb range for maintenance. Now, I've dipped back down into Keto range and using HIIT and cardio to increase endurance. The weight is coming off slowly(.5 lb/week) but that's fine. You're right--the closer to goal the harder the work. Last weekend I lifted a 50lb bag of sand and wondered how my heart, lungs and joints ever survived carrying around all that weight. Keto/IF is freedom. Thanks to you and Keith for all the great information :)
