Check out my dry eye home treatment routine! Here I share exactly what I do every day to help treat my dry eyes and reduce my dry eye symptoms naturally. Dry eye syndrome can be very complex and using dry eye treatment at home can help prevent symptoms from flaring up. I personally try not to use medications or eye drops which makes me more aggressive with my natural home therapy. If you are struggling with your dry eyes, hopefully my own routine will help you out.

⚡My Dry Eye Home Treatment Routine ⚡
1. I drink water in the early morning to rehydrate
2. Warm compress (10 minutes)
3. Eyelid hygiene and eyelid massage
4. Dry Eye supplement with food

to be sure you are getting enough omega 3s, this is the blood test I use

5. Warm compress at night (20 minutes)
* The key to success to do this every day

Note: Dry eye syndrome can be complicated by other forms of ocular surface disease and it is always best to consult with your local eye care professional if you are experiencing any eye pain or vision changes.

After an eyelid warm compress, many eye doctors recommend doing an eyelid massage to encourage the oil glands to release the now melted oils.
I use the Nulids Dry Eye Device to help clean my eyelids and massage my oil glands

** Cleaning the eyelids is an important part of dry eye management. The presence of bacteria can release toxins that disrupt the tear film and cause infection.

My eyes usually feel the most dry right away in the morning when I wake up! Having a humidifier going while I’m sleeping has been super helpful for that :)

Thanks, Dr. Allen!
What I do to manage my dry eyes:
1. Warm compress after a shower in the morning.
2. Spray hypochlorous acid to both closed eyes, wipe them off with clean cotton pads.
3. Use PF eye drops.
4. Wear moisture chamber glasses to protect eyes from the wind, dry air.
5. Incorporate good fats into diet - salmon, sardines, avocados, EVOO, MCT oil and others.
7. Load up on green salads - kale, broccoli, cauliflower, bokchoy, etc.
8. Warm compress in the evening after washing my face.
9. Repeat 2 and 3.
10. Early morning walks with sun exposure.

The thing which has been most effective for me is warm compress two times before noon and two times after noon. I cannot stress the importance of warm compress. It has been a game changer for me personally.

Please talk more about Visual Snow Syndrome. I think it helps when a eye doctor discusses it and it helps with people who have it with anxiety.

Castor oil. Rub it on my eyelids at night and wear a mask. It works amazingly.

I stay hydrated by drinking two gallons of water a day because of dry mouth due to hypoglycemia. The warm compresses are a big help and comfortable so I do them twice a day. The dry eyes started when I had a procedure to relieve the scaring on my face after an accident. The doctor melted the top ten layers of skin off my entire face from hairline to under my chin and ear to ear. It was in essence third degree burns and I grew new skin during the 14 days in recovery. Since then my eyelids seemed thin and light passes through them easily. Also they are tight and don’t seem to close completely. Therefore my eyes started drying out by the time I wake in the morning. Thanks for these tips for overcoming dry eyes. I enjoy watching you smiling, handsome face and besides you being so knowledgeable you are by far the sexiest eye doctor I have seen ever! Cannot wait to have a real exam in your clinic one day. 😎

A routine that I have followed daily for several years at the suggestion of my optometrist is as follows:
- Warm compress while gently massaging my eyeballs with lids closed for 4-5 minutes. (I kneel down at the bathroom sink with hot water running and wet with a washcloth so that I continue to keep that washcloth warm.)
- I then massage my eyeballs with my eyelids closed as well as the bone underneath my eye for approximately 10 seconds. I do this with my fingertips.
- I then put Opti-Free pure moist on a Q-tip and I move the Q-tip back-and-forth above and below my eyelash with my eyes closed. Or I sometimes use OCuSOFT eyelid cleanser and gently rub that over my eyelash area with my eyes closed. (Rinse after using OCuSOFT.)

Additionally, I use a morning eyedrop and an evening eye gel in the form of drops.

This is easier and less expensive than anything else I’ve heard of or read about and it has been extremely effective for me. The

In my shopping cart right now I have 2 or 3 omega 3 blood test kit's. Just trying to decide which one to get. I found it very interesting that it wasn't even mentioned in this video.

One tip I can offer is that with the Bruder mask you don't want to make it very tight and you definitely don't want to fall asleep with it on. It presses on your eyeballs and can cause vision problems. I've stopped using the band. I just lay with my head pointed up enough that the mask stays in place. Then when I fall asleep and reposition, it falls off.

Dear Eye Doctor, thank you so much for generously sharing your knowledge with YT viewers. My blepharitis started around 13 or 14 but without accurate diagnosis until I saw an optician in my 40's. Just recently I have been using Thealoz duo drops for dry eyes. Good results so far along with the usual daily care. Best wishes, Roger

I got dry eye after cataract and reparative vitrectomy surgeries recently. Using too much preservative free hydration drops only caused more problems. Seeing this video before (this is my second time watching) gave me the opportunity to get a gel eye mask for only $5 at my local pharmacy until I can find and order a moist mask. I warm it in the microwave for 30 seconds and it has helped a lot. The edema in my eye has gone down to normal. I also naturally thought to do wet warm compresses. I'm sharing this video on social media! Love all your videos!

Severe dry eye sufferer here for more than 10 years. My routine as follows:
1. Wash eye lids in the morning with Thera Tears foam
2. Warm compress of 10 minutes followed by eye lids massage and a squirt of saline to rinse my eyes. Then eye gel drops.
3. Apply scleral lenses and use PF eye drops every hour
4. High quality Omega 3 supplements
5. At night cold compress after removing scleral lenses
6. VitaPos PF ointment before going to bed
7. Sleep with Eyeseals 4.0 moisture chamber mask

At every step of the day I regret ever taking the decision of getting Lasik and ending up like this... I’m glad to know I’m not alone though.

So happy I found this channel. My eye doctor told me to just deal with it, you’re old, there’s nothing you can do but put eye drops in 4x a day. He’s fired obviously but THANK YOU for natural remedies to add to my day 🤞🏼 & less drops!

I have blepharitis and very sore dry eyes. I developed celiac disease some years later, naturally I went gluten free I found going GF has helped with my dry eyes. I don’t need to use eye drops near as often as I used to. Thank you Dr, I will follow the rest of your tips.
