Delicious Vegan Soyrizo “Sausage Rolls”

This recipe is inspired by a treat from across the pond called “Sausage Rolls”. We wanted to attempt a vegan versions with Soyrizo, and it turned out pretty well :)

Ingredients:

-1 package El Burrito Soyrizo (you will probably have leftovers)
-vegan crescent roll dough
-1 white onion (substitute 3 small shallots for extra flavor)
-optional: additional spices (black pepper, paprika, etc)
-dipping sauce. Tomato chutney, mustard, chipotle Veganaise…)

Directions:

-preheat oven according to crescent roll instructions
-chop and sauté onion, adding Soyrizo about halfway through
-unroll crescent rolls on a greased or lined baking pan
-pinch the perforations together—you should have one or 2 long strips of dough
-spoon cooked soyrizo and onion mixture down the center of the crescent roll dough
-sprinkle any extra spices you desire on top of the mixture
-take both sides of the dough and pinch them together down the center, making a tube/roll. Be sure to securely pinch the edges so no filling comes out
-cute each roll into 1-2 inch pieces
-bake according to crescent roll instructions
-remove baked crescent rolls from the oven, serve with your favorite dipping sauce, and ENJOY
