Lentil patties or lentil fritters are a quick, easy, and tasty recipe you can make in less than 30 minutes.

They are satisfying and nutritious, rich in protein and fiber that will keep you healthy and satiated.

INGREDIENTS:
2 cans (15 oz each) (460 grams) lentils green, black, brown / sub 3 cups cooked lentils / or 1 cup dried boiled in 4 cups water and 1 teaspoon salt until tender.
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour or chickpea flour
¼ cup (8 grams) parsley chopped + 2 tablespoons cilantro optional
1 medium onion coarsely chopped
3 cloves garlic coarsely chopped
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
4 tablespoons nutritional yeast or grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon black pepper
4 wedges lemon

OVEN-BAKED: Arrange patties on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F or 200°C for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

PAN-FRIED: Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a nonstick skillet for every 4 fritters. Fry fritters on medium heat for 4 minutes on each side, turning them once.

AIR-FRIED: Brush the air fryer basket with olive oil.
Arrange the patties in the basket, brush them with olive oil, and air fry at 400°F or 200°C for 10 minutes.

Instead of all purpose flour you can use chickpea flour it’ll become crispy healthier and yumm

Chick pea flour instead of all purpose flour will make this tastier, healthier, more protein rich. Add a boiled & mashed potato &/or bread crumbs. They will give body to the patties, will absorb less oil & become crispy. A few chopped spinach leaves thrown in would be a fine way to cheat kids into eating spinach.
Make a delicious coriander leaves, ginger, garlic cloves (optional), non-spicy green chilly, cummin seeds, salt, lemon juice chutney. Add 2-3 mint leaves if available.😊 Tips from India.

I believe this to be all the ingredients we need: Cooked lentils, flat leaf parsley, cilantro, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, pepper, garlic, red onions and I believe he is saying nutritional yeast or parmesan.

Dipping sauce is tahini😊...
I hope this helps, although we don't have the amounts.

I do no flour and only soaked lentils. Much easier and faster. Turns out amazing.

love these. I do prefer to spice the lentils when they cook instead, and I use breadcrumbs instead of flour (just an alternative), but I had never thought of putting them in the air fryer. Thanks!
