Boost Mobile is the only thing that has kept Sprint afloat as long as it has.

I just hope that Boost will get more LG and Samsung Phones.

I think 1 of 3 things. 1. Boost will be shut down. 2. Boost will run its own store like Metro pcs or 3. Boost will be sold in Metro PCS and maybe T mobile stores.

I just recently a month ago purchased a brand new Samsung Galaxy a 20 and it is a pile of crap I've heard that T-Mobile and Sprint have merged my service is going downhill believe it or not getting ready to go to Straight Talk

It's good for coverage. It's bad for competition and loss of jobs. It makes no sense to keep boost and virgin around after the merger. They'll just move everyone to MetroPCS if you're on prepaid and the same goes for Sprint to T-Mobile. As far as port in deals you'll only be able to do it with Cricket since boost and virgin will be under the same umbrella as metro. T-Mobile just wants to use Sprint's bands to get better coverage for their network. All the prepaid plans are priced similarly so it's the same customer. Plus if you look at Canada they're down to 3 carriers and they all raised their prices because there's less competition.

I have one line on TMobile for my husband-flip phone and I have a line on Metropcs with my smartphone. Both are very reasonable-husband unlimited talk & text for $20.00 and mine with Metro for $30.00 a month unlimited talk, text and 2gb data-(wi-fi @home) The service works great on both. My hope is that Boost, MetroPcs and TMobile do not raise their prices as some- have predicted to $75.00 to $100.00 per month which is too much for many of us to pay-(especially limited income folks) I really don't care about 5g-hey 4g and 4lte works for me.

Both carriers have LTE and LTE is LTE. If the Merger passes Sprint CDMA on 1900 mhz will be shutdown for more LTE capacity. Then Sprint LTE bands will go onto TMobile towers and, T-Mobile LTE bands on to Sprint towers. CDMA is dieing

Nothing will change immediately, just the long-term goals once this merger is approved within say 2 years:

1) getting a 5G Network operating ASAP with maximum coverage.

2) running a GSM Network, discontinuing a CDMA Network.

3) having Customers with CDMA Network phones switch to GSM Network phones.

4) a Carrier under one brand name of T-Mobile, with MetroPCS as the No Contact Carrier.

5) decide which Stores remain open to service Customers, changing their names respectively.

6) shutting down Stores deemed not relevant, terminating employment of excess Staff.

This is why Las Vegas has T-Mobile Arena, not Sprint Arena (lol). Yes, I expect prices to go up minimally (ie $5 more), but with a larger selection of smartphones.

I don't see any reason they would dismantle Boost, Virgin and Metrro. They do cater to a different customer sort of. They may combine those into one or two though.
