50k, at 7 percent interest, for 60 months, puts your payment at like 900 bucks. BEFORE INSURANCE. So over a grand a month. For a basic truck. NO WAY.

$1400 in doc fees is outrageous. Especially when you consider that it's totally unnecessary and a cash grab by the dealership. And that's literally what the market adjustment also is. And it's not like the dealership wouldn't make money by eliminating these fees. They'd still make a profit without them. Unreal.

Add another 10 G for the TRD package. $10, 000 for turning shiny parts into flat-black parts and plastering a decal that is one letter away from spelling turd on the side. Plus, they're doing away with the venerable 3.5L and going to a turbo 4cyl that will last half as long as the proven 3.5L

Price is outrageous but moving away from a V6 to a turbo 4 cylinder isn't something I would want.

Just met a guy who bought the new Tacoma TRD sport. He said he took delivery on a truck that had countless mechanical, cosmetic issues problems and defects. It was so bad the dealer bought it back from him no questions asked and got him into another one. Well that one has issue too. A rattle coming from the back right door, the black molding on the truck bed not secured, and the clear coat was damaged on one side of the truck bed.

Best thing to do at that dealership, is Drive off the lot with your old vehicle.
Do not EVER do business with a Dealership that has " Dealership Markup Fees" ! Ever ! If you want to, tell the salesperson Why you are not buying from them.
These places make me want to stay there and tell anyone else dumb enough that comes to buy a vehicle to go someplace else .

In 2022 I called every dealership in Southern California looking for a Tacoma V6, 4x4, Double Cab with 6' bed; and, the few that did have it, wanted a $6k markup. So I bought a GMC canyon, instead. It has more horsepower and torque than the Tacoma and I got it for $42.5k instead of the $45k plus markup they wanted for those Tacomas.
Don't be a Simp, don't give your money away, and don't get into bidding wars.

4 weeks in, and he's loving his new FRONTIER.$1, 200 OFF sticker.
