Toyota can't buy a break. 2024 Tacoma Transmission are failing but we aren't sure how many yet. Repairs could take months for owners due to no replacement transmissions being available. Is this going to end up being another Toyota Recall or will it just be a handful of issues?

Wow! Shitty engines. Shitty transmissions. Shitty pricing. Is there anything good about Toyota left?

Postmodern Toyota is like the modern 304, all glitters but NOT the gold standard we all have known. RIP Toyota trucks 🙏

Toyota is a real American car company now

Nissan Frontier is the #1 selling mid-size truck in Q1 2024. Tacoma sales are down 55%. The new Tacoma is a gift to Nissan. If you want to purchase a brand new Tacoma V6 with a smooth powerful drive train, simple proven mechanicals, a decades long great reliability record, all in a well-assembled vehicle made in the United States, Toyota has the perfect truck for you - The Nissan Frontier. Best part is, it’s available at a fair price and without insane dealer mark-ups.

I cant imagine buying a brand new car and immediately have serious issues. Sorry for owners going thru this.

Tacomas, All made in Mexico, another big mistake. Pocketing more money for cheaper labor costs. FAIL

Now Toyota has forgotten how to build reliable trucks?.... What now? It's official, every manufacturer sucks. 😔

The irony. They design the Taco and the Tundra to make them look so tough, but in reality Toyota expects you to drive them gingerly on paved streets.

Toyota is turning into a company that makes junk 😮

Well, that time is finally here. The days of buying a truck and driving it for 20 years are gone. I'll be holding onto my 3rd Gen Tacoma 4x4, and I suggest everyone else do the same.

Bad engine, bad trans, bad rear Dif, bad front suspension. Other than that its a great truck.

Really glad I didn’t order an SR 4x4 manual now after hearing this. It’s crazy the 6MT can’t handle the initial torque, The Aisin AY6’s held up just fine in the 1GR-FE Tacos w/ a TRD supercharger. Honestly if Nissan would bring back a manual the new Frontier would be the best way to go now.

The one thing a truck MUST have is a durable, trustworthy powertrain. The latest generation of Tundra and Tacoma are more expensive than ever and less reliable than ever the absolute worst scenario possible.

This is shocking and sad for the people who spent in excess of 50k for their new trucks. Makes my decision to go with the 24 Pro4x a good one.

Toyota has cheapened the Tacoma and GM has beefed up the Colorado/Canyon.
Almost like they took a page out of each other's play book.
Toyota will be dethroned as the #1 selling midsized truck if they don't get it together

“I’ll go with Toyota for reliability” lmao no longer an argument that they can use

Wow, the new Tacomas are bigger pieces if shit than I thought! I'm truly amazed that Toyota has gone done this route.
