Why Sentinel Hated Ironhide in the Transformers Movies. The saddest moment in the Michael Bay movies would have to be the death of Ironhide. The tough as nails Autobot and Optimus Prime's right hand man. For 3 installments we saw him pull off some of the coolest stunts until he met his untimely end at the hands of Sentinel Prime himself. Leading many fans to wonder why he it felt like a personal killing. Well, their beef actually goes all the way back before the Cyberton war. After the Dynasty of Primes disappeared, Cybertron was separated into a number of tribes. Ironhide came from a warrior tribe known as the Thetacons. They believed Sentinel Prime to be a false Prime and saw his attempt to bring a star to Cybertron as an act of madness that would destroy their world. For Solar Cycles the Thetacons kept Sentinel and his forces from reaching the Allspark. With Ironhide leading the charge. The so-called Prime never forgot about those battles.
