What do the green eyes mean in the Transformers Movies? I mean we have the blue and red optics most commonly associated with the two primary factions. But why do characters like Lockdown have this feature? Some have suggested that he has them because he's neither an Autobot nor Decepticon. He's a mercinary for hire who doesn't allign himself with any faction. But there are many others who have green eyes such as the Iacon Knights. And this leads me to believe that they all have those type of optics because they're some of the oldest Cybertronian beings around. Even predating the likes of Jetfire. If you think about it Lockdown was said to have been around for a long time which is why he able to capture most of the knights and obtain their ship the Temenos. The guys just has to have it all. I guess his eyes are green with envy.

The "because they have no faction" explanation makes no sense. If that's the case then why does the Decepticon Devastator have green eyes? And once again its because he's 1 of the oldest Cybertronians, predating the likes of Megatron and Optimus. Devastator just so happen to fit this category too. The Constructicons were created by the Fallen during the early days of Cybertron when he rebelled against the Prime Dynasty.

It’s actually stated in the book of primus, that green eyed transformers, were said to be truly free of the influence and and bonds of primus, unicron, and the quintessence. Green eyed bots are truly free sentient beings

Something that I want to know is was Sam Witwicky really killed in an ambush by Cemetery Wind in-between the events of DOTM & AOE, and is that the ambush that Optimus escaped from by turning into the crappy truck (that looked a lot like the G1 Optimus) because when Cade Yeager wakes him up in AOE he says “Sam, Run”

I believe it's related to the Energon that they consume. Lockdown also had green Energon flowing through him. Each faction and the neutrals have their own formulas

I know the quintesson are known for having green eyes and are a group of mercenaries with a leader from ancient times so I’m guessing it’s just an eye color to show that they are ancient transformers like the knights of iacon.

The color green in Arthurian myths has been associated with Morgan Le Fey and most evil magic that the Knights of the Round Table came into conflict with.

But it's also been used to mark the traitors to Arthur.

Mordred, for example, has often been described in menacing green adornments and accents in attire, as were his eyes.

Lancelot, at one point, adopts the Green regalia of an abandoned kingdom after fleeing with Arthur's wife and discovering his noble inheritance of said abandoned kingdom.

Since this whole movie was real keen on the Arthurian stuff.

My guess is energon.
Fun fact: there are three different colored energons throughout the Bayverse.
Blue was seen in the first few movies.
Then there was red when Prime killed Megatron in the third movie.
And finally Green.

But the thing is. In TF Prime, Rachet created a synthetic energon called Synth En and it was green. And if you guys didn't notice the KSI drones had green energon and so did lockdown.

Meaning. Lockdown wasn't created on Cybertron but off world.
