A friend sent me a Calvinist sermon by a certain preacher and honestly couldn't make through the first 7 minutes, it made sick! If it weren't so damaging to those who would come to Christ but mistakenly believe they are not "the elect" - I wouldn't bother to split hairs about it. Woe to those whose theology prevents others from entering the kingdom of God!

Doesn't Jesus tell sinners to repent? And isn't repentance a matter of changing our mind? Doesn't, therefore, Jesus own teaching oppose Calvinism?

I HATE it when they say "Arminians don't read the Bible." Do you REALIZE that's a personal attack? That's not attacking the argument, that's saying "Arminians are just pretending to be Christians." It's insulting.

In the New Testament when they are talking about "works" they are talking about the religious ceremonial "works" entailed in observance of *"the Law", * i.e. Torah Law, i.e. the 613 Laws but faith isn't a "work" in Torah Law.

Both the Calvinist and the Arminians are wholly and only saved by Christ’s work on the cross, not by their theological accuracy.

Boasting in humility is an oxymoron! The entire reason we are saved through faith is because it is not a work! Calvinism blatantly contradicts Ephesians 2:8-9.

This channel is a blessing. Finally it’s great to see someone teach the inconsistencies of Calvinism by properly interpreting the scriptures and doing so with love, respect and grace. GOD bless everyone

One wonders if Calvinists consider "Breathing" a "work."

Next time one of them goes to "your decision is a work, " I'll ask him to hold his breath to avoid doing the work of breathing, and see if he realizes how silly he sounds.

For R.C Sproul to say Arminians are "barely saved", is an emotional statement.

"For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will BARELY be saved?"

That doesn't work.

So according to RC Sproul, God just barely elected the Arminians.

One has to wonder if its psychically possible for a Calvinist to make a statement that doesn't DENY his own belief system??? ;-D

It seems that in Calvinism they can't see the difference between having faith to partner with God to save yourself, and surrendering to God in faith for Him to save you.

If believing in human helplessness, determinism and unconditional eternal security (OSAS) were necessary for salvation NO believer who lived during the first 400 years of the Church was saved.

There seems to be confusion among our kindhearted charitable Calvinist friends. They can't decide if we are Flowerites, a Leightonites, a Flowerists or a Leightonists! Most of the other names they call us are unsuitable for publication.

In other words, the Calvinist “elite” are the only ones who are genuinely saved? It takes a lot of nerve to say, or even imply, this!

Echo chamber is right. They all use the same “proof texts”. They need to read the whole Bible not just a few verses. God never drags people, what an awful thing to say.

Like someone saying they’re a little bit pregnant. 😂🤦🏽‍♂️

On a side note, picking proof texts, without considering cotext or context, is also what pre-trib rapture proponents do.

34:23: well stated. "He has chosen who 'in Him'? He's chosen the faithful in Christ Jesus. Read verse 1 and 2 because that's the audience. He's speaking to the saints, the faithful who are in Christ Jesus. So, He's chosen the faithful in Christ Jesus for what? To be holy and blameless. When did He make this choice? Before the foundation of the world. He chose before the foundation of the world that those who have faith in Christ will be made hold and blameless."

Ephesians 5:27: "...that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless."

trying to get a calvinist see the contradictions/errors of their philosophy is like trying to nail jello to a wall
