The son did everything right, he didn’t interrupt, he looked JJ in the eye, and I’m glad JJ let her feelings known.

As a person whose parents went through a brutal divorce, I stand entirely with the son. We all know the mother just wanted to get back at him for "picking" his Dad over having to pay rent with his Aunt.
I too picked my Dad after high school and my mom did everything in her power to disrupt my life. This woman is bitter. I'm sad that Judy had to give her the money, although it's clear she was owed it back.

She's grinding the son to punish the ex husband. She's all smiles, but I smell pettiness and general crappiness from her.

I remember this case and thinking mom should be thankful that her son is thinking about a career and doing it and not bumming around like a lot of young adults these days.

The fact that JJ asked about his brothers and what they got, had to make that mother know how different and apart her son feels about their relationship. Like, a person that has nothing to do with your family, sees how different you are treating your youngest son in front of the World.

Wow! The Mom got back at her son because he chose to live with his Dad. She looked mad after his testimony. The eye contact between her and JJ at the end was evil!
