"Let's normalize talking about money, follow me for my best money saving tips"

"I also make 200k a year and pay no rent"

These aren't money tips. They are job benefits that are specific to your job.

She’s actually smart. She’s getting rid of the loans as fast as possible.

"I only had 1.5k left after voluntarily paying 6k more towards my loan" lmfao

I mean the 401k contribution is an asset. You acted like the money you spent on that was an expense while it's just an asset that you lost liquidity on.

200k is still a ton. Finding a salary like that is the real key.

Lol I love someone saying only 1500 hit her bank account when she literally put 5k into retirement.

I had 1.5k left after investing $5k into the market and voluntarily paying an extra $6k on my student loans

In Germany that would be:

200.000 before tax
-91.709, 67 tax and Health insurance
108.290, 33 after tax

Also you must tax that flat from your company, because its part of the salary, so if it was 2k per month, it would have been an additional 12k tax a Year.

University in Germany for Law is 85€*12 semesters = 1020€

Would have been a after tax salary of 9.024, 19 per month, or 108.290, 33 per year.

That includes all social securities and tax.

You could make a tax declaration, that would probably bring about 8k tax down.

You would be in the 0, 001% of the people in Germany, that would earn that much.

I give this woman kudos for prioritizing what matters. She wasn’t blowing money she was handling her responsibilities first so later she can live life without debt

A lawyer considered 401k is an expense. It is just like your saving in your regular bank. Very misleading

I love how quickly she glosses over not having to pay rent lol

This is not normalizing the discussion of money. You're stuffing $5400 a month in an IRA.

This lady actually acted like she owed a debt and was determined to pay it off as quickly as possible. That's commendable.
I try to have the habit of acting like the money is not mine when I owe a debt it has always made paying loans back easier for me

I love that you prioritized the loan repayment. It’s all about that long-term planning!

10k for student loan repayment is insane...probably more so then her 200k salary 😂

She has achieved her success with hard work, people should be inspired

Well actually you got $7, 500 a month, but chose to spend 6, 000 on additional payments toward your loans. Of course, nothing wrong with that, but I’m sure implying you only had 1, 500 makes a more enticing title.
