This morning my wife and I lost our first baby, our cat Ronnie, our 3 year old British Shorthair. He died suddenly and unexpectedly overnight. He looked like he was still sleeping, curled up on his perch. I've never felt pain like it, the sense of loss is unbelievable, not just for the last 3 years, but for the 10+ years more we were meant to have with him. He was meant to meet our children, grow up with them. Now we will just have to tell them about him. I am broken.

I lost my cat 10 years ago. You never FULLY get over it but animals are so worth it if you want to really experience love and life in my opinion. His picture by my bed still chokes me up but makes me happy at the same time. With love comes sadness, but videos like this really help. I think I’m finally ready to get another one now.

I put down my best friend yesterday, it's been a wave of emotions. Going from extreme sadness, to numbness, to relief, over an over. He was sixteen, he fought for me over the last few weeks because he knew I wasn't ready. Just lost my little 15 year old baby girl kitty, Cleo. Last week she died from heart failure, she had battled kidney disease for years. The loss I am feeling is immeasurable. She was my rock for 15 years, we were inseparable and I don't know if I will get over this.
